  1. Par and cHiQy,

I applied around the same time as you guys, Priority Date of Jan 15, forwarded to NBC.

I heard nothing until today when I received a yellow 'Interview Document Checkilst'. I also today received, in a separate envelope, a letter containing an Interview Date in May.

So, hang in there, it seems those interview dates are coming.

(btw, I never received a biometrics appointment and I am assuming at this point that was because I completed the last set within 15 months.)

  2. Hello, another slow N-400 tale.

I return to visa journey, thinking I had finished with all things uscis.

Anyway, to add some information in connection with the above posts, I submitted an N400 in January, it seems to have been forwarded to National Benefits Center and I received NOA dated Jan 20. At that point the trail goes cold and I have received no further contact. My local office is Denver, CO.

The initial application was sent to Lincoln, NE (as required at the time) it was forwarded and received at Phoenix NE and the NOA came from National Benefits Center, Lee's Summit MO.

Not too concerned yet, just wanted to contribute to what seems to be the emergence of a theme here.

  3. In line with previous posts, it is not strictly necessary. We were just approved without my name on the mortgage or the title to the property. I did include the mortgage docs and other bills that are in my name to show that we both live at the same address and share the burden of the cost.

It is always tricky when deciding whether to put more money into this already expensive process, my advice is to look at your evidence already gathered and try to objectively assess how strong it is and whether the mortgage docs will make a big difference.

    Best of luck.

  4. I wanted to add a new set of recent info to this list but do not want to mess with the formatting. If someone would be good enough to add the following to the list it may be helpful to others.

I 751 sent with personal check to NSC on 1.15.08

NOA received dated 1.18.08 (didn't arrive until 1.28.08)

Biometrics appointment letter received 2.1.08, appointment scheduled for 2.14.08.

As far as I am aware we have not been transferred to another service center but am not sure of the notifications that would or would not be received.

    Thanks a million.

  5. You should hold onto the x-ray, in theory you need to carry it in your hand luggage when you enter the US on the K-1 visa, then you should also bring it to the AOS interview. You are not permitted to open the x-ray envelope. It is unlikely that it will be looked at but do hold onto it.

As a general rule, I would suggest not throwing any original away throughout this process.

  6. I have managed to keep our applications on the normal track until now and I am finally baffled.

You will see the K1 timeline from my signature, made AOS, EAD and AP app in November. AP has been approved. And not another peep from USCIS until today when I get my AOS interview scheduled for March 08. I am delighted of course but not sure if things are happening in the correct order.

The thing is I am desperate to get to work but have not received any biometric appointment or any indication on the EAD application.

If anyone has input or advice on action I should take, please do not hold back, thanks

  7. Hey, Just wanted to add my experience.

We also applied mid november for AOS, EAD, and AP. The AP was approved in around 60 days but have still not received my biometric appointment.

Am adding this reply because I notice at least two of the previous posters without bio appointments are under the control of the Denver, CO, office, as am I. Not sure if this helps anyone but it does at least indicate that this may be an issue with the local office.

In any event, the 90 day period is looming.
