    Visa issued December 28 2011. Just found out today due to an inquiry by my senator's office. almost one year since our interview!

      They want him to take his medical exam again. We got the civil surgeon to do his vaccines and tranfer them onto the proper paper. Apperantly they could not find his med exam from algeria in his A-file.

    ooh gosh, today i recieved an e-mail fron the algerian embassy, where it says that they reviewed my petition carefully and that the determined that our relation is only for immigration purpose, what idiots!!!!!!! can some tell me what can i do next, since they are returning my petition to the national visa center.

      Thanks Zaytoona, and Sara! The dress was actually made in Algeria. Hamza's mom, and a friend of hers who is a seamstress made it for me.

      Im so sorry to hear this. Try to contact your congressmen right away. See if they can't call or email the Embassy, and ask for an explanation, or have them try to persuade them to give him another interview, before they send your file back to USCIS. Im not sure if this will help, but its worth the try.

    hani had his interview today. He was told that our petition will be under administrative review, he was given a white paper stating that, and that they will call him when they have a decision. What a nightmare!!!!!!

      A list of countries packages have been sent to, in that date range will appear. Scroll till you Find a package that has been sent to Algeria. This will most likely be yours. Its really just a guess, but since they only send them out on certain days in the week, and Algeria isn't a high traffic area, it will most likely be yours.You can mess around with the dates a lil bit, to find yours.       First you need to call NVC, and ask when your package left. What date did they send it. Then you can go to DHL.com. Click on "Express" (top left) Then click "Tracking", then on the left side under tracking click "Track by shippers reference". Then you use the date that NVC gave you in this format (EXP 08 DEC 2010A) for the "Shippers Reference" Put a date range in for a day before and after (you might have to mess around with the dates) Then Click "Track...

      Ya, we actually tracked our information through the DHL website, and it arrived in Algeria, sat for a week or two, and emailed (with no response)and then we called them... and "magically" it arrived the same day we called. They actually sent us an email with the packet 3 info, right then. Never got anything in the mail. You should try to track your info through DHL, and see when it arrives. Them maybe give them a call after a week, and ask them to email packet 3 ...couldn't hurt ?
