  1. Tip: I see bunch of people based on their reviews forgetting their I-134 forms and supporting documents resulting in the 221g. Make sure you have this info before heading to Laos. Also, no worries about the Visa, they'll take her passport upon approval and issue the K1-Visa. It will take no more than couple of days depending on what day your interview is.

  2. I've read your story and loved it. Anyway, I don't even know why I visit the website anymore but maybe only to help other hmong people. I live in Milwaukee with my wife who I petition K-1 in 2010. We have a 15 month old daughter/20 week old in the belly. Just wanted to say, have patience. I know hovering around the 7 month mark is not typical for K1 but it will all be worth it!

  3. You dont really need a bank statement unless your unemployeed or very close to the proverty level. I just know the more proof you have financially to backup your cause the better. And No I don't know estimates on the medical check up in Vientiane. And yes it was close to $1500 because she went twice at $500 a pop excluding expenses.

  4. I get it from this hmong guy in Saint Paul, MN. 1-651-235-3193 Long Yang. He's not the best but better then whatever you'll find online.

  5. This depends if you have it done in Udon, Thailand or Vientiane. First time around I sent $500 and that covered it. Second time she had to go back to take the vaccination shot $400. The remaining is for traveling and expenses so $1500 is high.

  6. BTW, if you need my cover letter and list of items I used. Let me know. I will email to you along with samples that I sent.

  7. * money gram of whatever you use receipts

  9. Yes, you can ask me anything. I try to help out all the hmong people who ask me.

  10. No, just write your fiances name in english.

  11. YES. It's on the I-134.

  12. Hi, like I said. If you need anything. My documents, cover letters and how I packaged my I-129f, I-134, I-451 are all fresh in my mind and saved on the PC. Don't hesitate if you don't understand anything. When I did mine, there was really nobody to help me. Isamu on this board is also very helpful

  13. The petition got their on the 12th. They said it's in additional check process. Asked if this was normal and they said YES. Asked if everyone goes through AC. They said NO, call back in two weeks. I was told USCIS sends the petitions in batches. Your petition is probably there already. I assume they meant administrative processing aka as posted on the forum and that blows!

  14. I'm waiting for my petition to get to NVC. Just like you. Did you finace get passport, birth certicate, family registry, laos id card?

  15. Congrads on your approval. That was FAST!
