Hello Fellow October filers,
Thought I'd post since it's been a while. Everything is going fine. The 2 month delay has been passing by pretty quickly. We have both been keeping busy and of course talking daily. It sucks that we had to wait an extra 2 months but what's the point of being upset about something we can't change or have any control of.
On a positive note we find out the results next week. We are both excited. We're sure everything will be ok. Heidi leaves to manila next week and she is very excited. Once I find out when our interview is I'll post it. When Heidi was at the clinic she met a girl and her interview is this Wednesday. She said she'll let Heidi know once she’s done what her interview was like so we kind of have a heads up. That's about it. Good luck everybody and stay positive.

Thanks Leolalit. Good luck with the interview! All 3 TB smear test came back negative. Based on what I've read chances are high that the sputum test will be negative too. Thanks to you all for your support and good luck. We will all get through this no matter what.

Hi guys. We are also in the same boat. Smear test result today.

Hello fellow Octoberians! Today we find out my baby's TB smear test results. In about 3 hours. We are praying for a negative result. Cecila, glad to hear that you are ok. It was aful to hear that you were in an accident. We have accepted the fact that it will be at least 2 months before we are together and if she has to do the 6 month TB treatment I'm sure there is a reason. Hope everything is going ok for everyone else.

Hi VJ Members,
I just wanted to create a post for people that are going through the dreaded sputum test . My baby has just finished the 3 day screening and goes for results on the 9th of March. We still have to do the 8 weeks and are praying for a negative result. If we have to do the 6 month treatment it would suck but we'll tackle that if it happens.

My baby is at the clinic getting her 3 day test done. She talked to someone that said there are alot of woman doing the 6 month TB treatment. I hope it doen't come to that. Of course I would wait for how ever long it takes but it would just be hard to wait another 8 months. If anyone has any experiances with this please share. Were just trying to focus on what we have to get done. Good luck to all of you.

My fiancee had her medical today and bad news she has to have the sputum test . We're both really dissapointed. Does anyone know what the ramifications are for this test. We know it adds 2 months of waiting. What else does it dictate? Will this keep her from getting approved? Any info provided would greatly be appriciated.

Hi Everyone,
I’m sure I can find the answers to my questions if I do a search but I am a little frustrated right now. We hired a guy to help us out with this process and I’m not sure if using his guidance is delaying the process. He has been great thus far. Last we spoke he said my fiancée has to wait for a letter from the embassy in manila before she can move forward with the medical and interview. My questions are:
Can she do her medical before getting anything from the embassy? If so what will she need to take with her? Its copy of NOA2 and NVC letter correct?
How long does it take St. Lukes to forward the medical information to the embassy?
I read on the embassy website that an interview appointment can be scheduled in 3 days? Have you seen that?
If we schedule the interview and get an e-mail confirmation is that good enough to take to her medical?
Were trying to set it to where she can do her medical and interview back to back or at least within a week and a half. She lives in Capiz, Roxas city and the less she has to go back and forth to manila the better.
For her interview what are the accepted forms of ID? All she has is her passport and NBI ID.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Michael & Heidi

We recied our letter from NVC 22 Jan 10 and my fiancee hasn't recieved anything from the embassy in Manila. Should we be worried?

Thank you. No hard copy here either. No mail today. Maybe 2 morrow.

Hello everyone. I just found out I was in the wrong forum. It was for VCV people. Anyway, How is everyone? Hanging in there I hope. We dong good since we have recently recieved our NOA2. We know there is still more to go but it seems waiting for the NOA2 is the longest wait according to stats. I look forward to meeting you all and reading all of the post.

Hey Charger. Hang in there. Will you have internet access if you deploy? If so you can check the status. Maybe a trusted friend can check the mail and take care of any paperwork. They can scan it and send it to you via email and you can fedex it back for them to send if a signature is required. I undersatnd being deployed but I'm a Computer Tech so I always have access to e-mail and such. It'll work out. 1 day at a time.

Hello fellow Octoberians!
I have been meaning to post to say hello to you all but this site is blocked at work . The process has been somewhat difficult as you all know but keeping busy and staying positive makes things much easier. Just got the NOA2 email a few days ago so we are extremely happy. A few more steps and my baby will be here with me to start our lives together.
To all Octoberians that have received their NOA2 congrats! Octoberians that haven't yet hang in there your day will come soon. We will be thinking positive thoughts for you all.

Hello Everyone,
Heidi pasted the sputum test. Negative! Thank the lord. Interview is May 11th finally. Please pray for us. If anyone knows of a good place to get a ticket from Manila to the US that would be great. Best of luck to you all!
