  1. Hello Fellow October filers,

Thought I'd post since it's been a while. Everything is going fine. The 2 month delay has been passing by pretty quickly. We have both been keeping busy and of course talking daily. It sucks that we had to wait an extra 2 months but what's the point of being upset about something we can't change or have any control of.

On a positive note we find out the results next week. We are both excited. We're sure everything will be ok. Heidi leaves to manila next week and she is very excited. Once I find out when our interview is I'll post it. When Heidi was at the clinic she met a girl and her interview is this Wednesday. She said she'll let Heidi know once she’s done what her interview was like so we kind of have a heads up. That's about it. Good luck everybody and stay positive.

  2. Hello fellow Octoberians! Today we find out my baby's TB smear test results. In about 3 hours. We are praying for a negative result. Cecila, glad to hear that you are ok. It was aful to hear that you were in an accident. We have accepted the fact that it will be at least 2 months before we are together and if she has to do the 6 month TB treatment I'm sure there is a reason. Hope everything is going ok for everyone else.

  3. Hi VJ Members,

I just wanted to create a post for people that are going through the dreaded sputum test . My baby has just finished the 3 day screening and goes for results on the 9th of March. We still have to do the 8 weeks and are praying for a negative result. If we have to do the 6 month treatment it would suck but we'll tackle that if it happens.

  4. My baby is at the clinic getting her 3 day test done. She talked to someone that said there are alot of woman doing the 6 month TB treatment. I hope it doen't come to that. Of course I would wait for how ever long it takes but it would just be hard to wait another 8 months. If anyone has any experiances with this please share. Were just trying to focus on what we have to get done. Good luck to all of you.

  5. Hi Everyone,

I’m sure I can find the answers to my questions if I do a search but I am a little frustrated right now. We hired a guy to help us out with this process and I’m not sure if using his guidance is delaying the process. He has been great thus far. Last we spoke he said my fiancée has to wait for a letter from the embassy in manila before she can move forward with the medical and interview. My questions are:

Can she do her medical before getting anything from the embassy? If so what will she need to take with her? Its copy of NOA2 and NVC letter correct?

How long does it take St. Lukes to forward the medical information to the embassy?

I read on the embassy website that an interview appointment can be scheduled in 3 days? Have you seen that?

If we schedule the interview and get an e-mail confirmation is that good enough to take to her medical?

Were trying to set it to where she can do her medical and interview back to back or at least within a week and a half. She lives in Capiz, Roxas city and the less she has to go back and forth to manila the better.

For her interview what are the accepted forms of ID? All she has is her passport and NBI ID.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Michael & Heidi

  7. Hey Charger. Hang in there. Will you have internet access if you deploy? If so you can check the status. Maybe a trusted friend can check the mail and take care of any paperwork. They can scan it and send it to you via email and you can fedex it back for them to send if a signature is required. I undersatnd being deployed but I'm a Computer Tech so I always have access to e-mail and such. It'll work out. 1 day at a time.

  8. Hello fellow Octoberians!

I have been meaning to post to say hello to you all but this site is blocked at work :( . The process has been somewhat difficult as you all know but keeping busy and staying positive makes things much easier. Just got the NOA2 email a few days ago so we are extremely happy. A few more steps and my baby will be here with me to start our lives together.

To all Octoberians that have received their NOA2 congrats! Octoberians that haven't yet hang in there your day will come soon. We will be thinking positive thoughts for you all.
