  1. Please update. I attended the Oath Ceremony today and I am now a US Citizen. I received my Citizenship certificate and applied for expedite passport as im travelling overseas shortly. Please mark in red the end of this process. Thank you guys for the support and positive feedback that you have givene, Without the support of people in here, this journey wouldn't have been relatively possible. Wishing everyone in here good luck in the upcoming events. Aloha.

  2. Please update. On August 28, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent you a notice .... Hope everyone out there good luck.

Simps, I would schedule an infopass and talk to an immigration officer in person. The operators have no clue what so ever about the n400 process. I called about the arrest/ citation question and she was clueless and helpless. She told ne just follow what they sent you. Lol. Hope everything will go smooth for you and u ll receive your interview.

  3. Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to add my interview experience this morning. My interview was a t 10 am this morning, August 26. After entering the building, I handled the security officer my letter and went through security, then went straight to the waiting room. After 10 minutes, the immigration officer went out and ask me to come in. She asked me if I can wait in the hall way while she grabs my file. Later on went to the office and asked me to raise my right hand and tell the truth. Later we went over my n 400. It was quiet. She asked me for ID, passport, green card and tax return copies. Later went over yes/ no questions. She then asked for selective service registration document and other documents. She didn't check all original documents though. She was very nice and we chatted a bit. Then she went straight to civics test. Asked me to read WHO CAN VOTE, then I was asked to write CITiZENS CAN VOTE. Then asked me 6 questions.

1-Who can vote In federal election

    2-What's the national anthem?

3-What is the name if the west ocean of the US?

4-What do the thirteen strips in the flag represent?

    5- What happened in 9/11?

6- What is the rule of law?

I answered them correctly. She was writing my answers on the paper. Then she told me, congratulations, you passed your test. You should hear from us regarding the oath ceremony in 4 weeks. Mid to late September. It only took 25 minutes and was pretty easy. Good luck everyone out there? Thank you guys for your positive input.

  4. Thanks Jamericalove for your helpful reply. I just went to the district court and got traffic report to take to the interview. It lists all citations and disposition. I also went to criminal court to get report that I haven't been arrested, but I left there thinking I really don't need it since uscis has already conducted a thorough criminal background check. Hanging in there waiting for this interview. Good luck everyone.

  5. Hi Everyone,

It's nice to hear everyone had pretty much good interview experience. My interview is next monday on august 26. and I'm looking forward to it. I just have a question about the yellow letter. Last Saturday I received a yellow letter that says to bring the following documents. 1/Drivers license , 2/ you indicated that you have been arrested, bring all arrests records and court dispositions. My question is that I have never been arrested, I just had a speeding ticket that was dismissed. It's the one that I disclose in my n400. I answered yes to question 16 because I was cited not arrested. Do you guys know what documents to take with me to the interview. Any folks in here with similar situation. Thanks for your replies.

  6. You guys should receive the interview letter soon. You never know when they update. I have heard some people got their interview in less than 2 months. It is a fact of who is handling your case, how many cases ahead of you , if your case is issue free and sonetimes just plain luck. I wish you guys open that mailbox and find that interview letter. I know how it feels to keep waiting. Good luck to you guys.

Terry J, congratulations to your husband. I hope the oath ceremony goes smooth as the interview.

  7. Simps, if its more than 40 days since you were scheduled for interview, you should call uscis or schedule an info pass. It shouldn't take more than 30 days, if its more than 40 days after your biometrics, that means your local office received high volume applications. Good luck, u should receive it soon.

  8. Can anyone update my info. Just checked online status that said I was scheduled for an interview yesterday July 22. I was only in line for interview about 3 days( July 19). So that confirms that the higher volume they receive, the longer people would wait. Hang in there may filers, things are moving forward.

  9. Thnx guys for your replies.

Tygrys, I totally agree with you, it depends on field office. The Honolulu one isn't that busy, only 900 people applied in May. So it shouldn't take more than 3 weeks.

Nimaan. You may go online to check the volume of applicantions that will be processed for May in your local office. If its taking long, that means the office pretty much received high volume. On the site, it says to expect the interview to be scheduled within 90 days of the in line status.

  11. I am wondering how to track my k-1 fiancee case after being sent by the NVC, its been 2 weeks after the NVC informed me that my case has been forwarded to the consulate, the NVC operator told me that it was sent on the 7th JAN 2010, when i emailed the consulate, they informed me that they only received a wire copy and are waiting for the hard copy!!!!

I am wondering how long does it take for k-1 case to be sent to the consulate, especially that the NVC sends the packages through DHL service which usually delivers in 2 to 3 business days!!

I would like to know if anyone has ever experienced that ?

I will be pleased to hear from you guys.

  12. Thank you for moving this to the correct place.. I am sorry this is my first question and I didn't know where to put it..

I just don't understand why I didn't get a request for this and it was a small 1 line request on my fiances papers.. I am putting everything I can find into a PDF and emailing it to him and then faxing and also if I must I will send it 2 day air via USPS..

I appreciate everyone and anyone who can help.. Thank you..

As far as i know , your fiancee will need the following to proof your full sponsorship and support since he will be waiting for a while to get his Social security number and employment authorization.

    - A letter from your employer stating the fact that you have a steady job and a reasonable salary for support.

    - you will need to send him your pay stubs, recent ones if possible.

    - letter from bank that contains your current bank transactions.

I am also waiting for my interview at the Casa US consulate, Good luck guys.
