  1. Hey everyone! its me again. so im still in AP and its been 6 months of AP. and i saw someone case that is almost the same as mine and they got denyed. and i wanted to get you guy's opinion.

    heres the case. http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104210

So heres my case. we had our proxy done in june. we filled in Aug. i made my first visit to visit my hubby in early march and we had our wedding and pictures from that time. but according to that persons case the proxy marriage has to be consummated subsequent to the marriage and before the time of filing the petition. i can prove with wedding pictures and such that the marriage was consummated subsquent to the marrige but not before filling the petition.

so im getting worried now since it has been 6 months and nothing new has happened. and if were denyed would be have to file for a fiance' visa?

  2. Hi, I had my interview in march, and after the interview my husband was put under AP. We provided various proofs of vaild relationship Texts, Letters, webcam photos, Yahoo screencaps, Pictures of us when I visited, Photos of our wedding, and photos of me with his family, ECT. Now the problem is that when we did the "paper" wedding the legal one I was not there, there for was unable to sign the marriage license myself and had to have a proxy (My Uncle) sign the contract on my behalf so is this a problem? could this be the reason that my husband was put under AP and its been so long and we have gotten no new information. I mean could we be denied because of this? or would they have denied us at the time of the interview IF the proxy was a problem?

During the time that we got "married by paper" I could not go over there because of financial problems, and could not afford to travel, but after a couple of months when my frantical situation got better I was able to travel and we were able to have our marriage ceremony, is that enough or is my being unable to appear before the shehk and sign my marriage contract make my case void? all help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

  3. Hello everyone, I have some questions about the CR-1. My husband and I meet on the Internet We fell in love and got married June of 2009. We only got married by papers. We did not have a "Wedding". And i have never been to his country to meet him. We talk on Email. phone, on webcam everyday. and we know we love each other. But i dont know if i can file for a CR-1 becuase we have not had a wedding with a wedding dress and such. When he comes here we will have a small party with my family. But a wedding party is not important to us. I know when my case reaches the embessy in his country they will want pictures of are wedding. But we only got married on papers. I dont want to start it just to get denyed cuz we dont have pictures.

    Thanks everyone.
