  1. I believe this is the wrong forum for posting this ? But anyway by looking at your timeline your I-94 will expire on 7/23, your K1 actually expired the day you entered the USA. There is no time limit to file AOS, just to marry within 90 days of entering the USA. It's recommended to file AOS as soon as you can to get the ball rolling. Also please read the "Guides" for filing AOS, it will tell you everything that is needed.

    Good luck on your journey!

    Thank you.

If I am understanding correctly? We do not have to have the AOS filed by the 23rd? We plan on getting it done in the next 2-3 weeks (but recovering from wedding and taking it easy for awhile).

We need to wait for the offical copy of our marriage liscence also.

BTW when we fill out all the AOS forms do we use her married name or as it appears on all her other paperwork (maiden)?????????

  2. Okay here we go. I had to join today because one of my fiances well intending friends told her information that I believe is not true.

The friend did a K3 (already married) visa in 2009 and they told her that right after the approval they were give the choice of 3 bridges in Juarez to cross to the US and that was the only POE available.

She is wanting to go home and spend a week with her family and I was going to pick her up. We would cross at the Del Rio POE as she lives in Acuna. We have filed for a K-1 not K-3.

    Please help clarify.

    Thank you in advance.
