  1. I have a question regarding contacting my Senator/Congressman. As the US Citizen, am I one that provides the information or is it info on my Hubby, the Beneficiary. I have found the forms and want to be ready once I proceed with contacting them. Also, is there a certain time frame that we must wait before I contact them? We had our interview in March of this year and was placed in AP.

Thank you in advance for any and all replies.

    hi

i went to congress man and after one week my wife visa and ap compelet consulate reply to congress man that we are working on case and us consulate will contact when file is compelet but in the inteview they told my wife 2 weeks to 2 month that was the statement which we give to congress man. so u know whats step u have to take. each city and congressman office has own letter which u have to fill and visit once and talk to them more u talk more the letter to consulate will help.

  2. Good luck and God's blessings to you!!

We are still waiting. It's going to be a month next week. But the hard part for me is that I really want to go see him since I haven't seen him in almost a year. We don't want to waste the money doing that when he could get out of AP any day. I think I could bear more if there was an actual end dd ate. Oh well I waited 6months for the petition to be approved so guess I can wait for this too.

    thanks

i will pray for u and hope your case be over soon

  3. hello

Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.

  4. Well Calling the department of State every day is one option. Did they keep her passport ? If they kept it then chances are it should be done within 3 - 6 months. Also what do you think is the reason for AP, do they want to do more checks on your ? were the financial support documents good ? Anything to do with her profession you think ? Has she lived in US before or either have you been married before ? There are all sorts of checks they want to - but depending on the case they go for different ones.

I am getting mentally prepared for it. I am so sick of this AP thing. I hope you get to hear good news very soon !!

What did the ask at the interview ? Any experience would be helpful.

  6. Sunny check the AP section on this forum, your 40 days are really early for a male from Pakistan put on AP. There is not time limit to AP so all you can do now is pray and hope that your name or travel history doesn't raise any flags. That is all you can do at this stage. I'm a female from Pakistan and I was placed on AP for more than 2 months which is actually a short time for AP.

    All the best.

thank for reply i am us citizen its for my wife and she never travel out of pakistan

  7. strange that they put her on Ap.???? If they kept here passport maybe that is good news and u will get ur visa soon.

every thing was normal i think the problem is my wife apply few times visit visa and get refused so may be they want to make sure every thing clear. but interview was fine. my wife mention looks like he doing his work and asking normal Q. she asked officer do u need any info or doc. officer say no just wait for AP.

he return all orignal doc , took fingerprint . get sign ds 230, took police report , medicals , give token to pick passport from american Express and give green paper for AP

    thanks

  8. Sunny- Come join us in the January interview thread :) Sorry to hear your wife was put in AP. Was she told she was missing anything by the interviewer or was anything strange during the interview? I hope they don't really make you guys wait 2-3 or more months to finally get the visa. Best of luck!
