he wont really cooperate now. he wants to flee the US back to Russia within a week. Is it okay for me to file paperwork on my own here? what if he refuses to sign stuff? I hope he doesn't need to show his face.

Can someone help me figure out the rules of divorcing in nyc after just 1 week into marriage on the k1 visa. his visa i-194 expired and i didn't file the AOS just yet. we both agree to do this quick, clean and fast. we own nothing, we just made a big mistake. HELP ME PLEASE!

Is there a rule if it's only been 1 week, it could be easier? or is all treated equal?

Just got married today (1 day before 1-94 for k1 expires!) phew*

Is the 1-485 the only thing I fill out and send out? (which will be sent out AFTER the I-94 expires- hope we're ok??) My fiance did the medical examination (not immunization) in Moscow. When he entered the US, the immigration took away that sealed envelope at the airport, since we don't have it anymore, do we have to get another medical exam/physical + immunizations to get certified w/ a civil surgeon and send it off with the AOS together? I hear he doesn't have to do the medical part again, but if we don't have the sealed envelope how the hell do we prove anything?

Is there a detailed cover sheet someone has step by step of what to send out with the AOS forms? Just like we did with the I-129F petition package?

Everything's so scattered and so is my brain right now. I hope you guys can help, it's impossible to call and get answers or ask people who don't know what the K1 visa is!

So confused about that. Everywhere I call in NY says they do the medical exam for people who want visas only, not people who try to adjust status so it's like they can't help us and they sound confused then they confuse me!

Same ####### happened to me. I called the embassy in moscow and they told me his interview date. I emailed them this week and they said it was mailed out early March, now it's the 30th and his interview is less than 30 days away. They said it might be lost in the mail and if so to just go to the moscow embassy website. BUT no where does it say that if package is lost please do this and this. UGH i'm so pissed off and depressed. no justice in Russia! No tracking number, no info that it's okay he comes without their letter, etc. ERRRR

FEB 23,2010 - NVC - EMBASSY MOSCOW (1 week)

FEB 25,2010 - EMAILED EMBASSY and RESPONSE 3 DAYS LATER>> THEY SCHEDULED INTERVIEW FOR APR 29, 2010

NOA1-Interview date= a few days short of 6 Months> National Average was 5 months.

Today is MAR 13, 2010 - He's still waiting for his package from the embassy... not sure what we do from here besides me sending him the Affidavit of Support, Letter of continuing K1 Visa, and Financial documents (work employ letter, 2 previous tax returns, 2 recent pay check stubs, proof of ongoing relationships>emails, phone bills, calling card bills, skype msgs) before his interview. Is he supposed to send the embassy anything after I send him what he needs before the interview? This is where I'm confused.

On my similar timelines it says only 2 have received NOA2.

I'm thinking that November filers should get ready cause NOA2 should happen really soon! Good luck to you all. I'm so excited. It's strange talking on here and feeling everyone's pain in the process hugsssss you all.

VSC is moving along for the K1 visas. YAYAYA I just got NOA2 right now. NOA1 to NOA2= 3 mths, 7 days.
