Another twist to our K1. My fiance got approved and should be here in a couple of months however I just got a very bad news that my last date at my employer is December 31 of this year.

What is this all mean to us? Can someone please help us with next step if any?

How is this gonna affect us? Can unemployment help?

Will we have problems when she gets here?

How can I show that I can support her without a job if i dont find one before that?

Well folks my fiance just got approved with the K1 tonight or today in Manila. Wow after all the headaches and long chatting and phone calls and documents she was actually approved really easy. Now we have to find out when the approved visa expires I guess typically 6 months. Is that about the right assumption?

Well anyway I can relax now knowing all the hard work is done now the challenge we face if she will like the states.

I want to thank this site for helping and guiding me with some of the paperwork needed to make the process smoothly.

Best of luck to all the future couples and hang in there. Its hard but it will be all worth it when you finally get approved.

Couple of questions and was hoping to get good feedback from people with success stories.

Just a short story of how my questions came up. My Fiance's sister is getting married in May of 2011 and were both part of her wedding in the Philippines. Now the problem is Im trying to finish the process of getting my fiance here in the US but afraid that we will have to back out of her sisters wedding which is a big embarrassment since it was planned a head of time. Now I wasnt thingking when I re scheduled the interview so please help, any qnswers is appreciated.

1. Is there a penaly or will they be suspicious if you re schedule my fiance interview numerous times? with supported reasons for course

2. If she is approved how long does the visa approval expire? six months or less?

3. Will she be able to travel back to PI if we were married before May of 2011? what are the process of changing status.

Hi guys,

Well were at the interview stage and last May I had to call embassy in PI to cancel my fiances appointment. We were going through rough times as Im sure many relationships face when its LDR. However we still want to keep it as an option.

My question is has anyone in this room had an experience or problems calling back to schedule another appointment after canceling the initial interview? Per the CSR at Manial Embassy it will not be a problem and that our Visa application doesnt expire until March of 2011.

Please comment on this issue.

Please help me with this topic. Im getting cold feet with our K1 process but I still want to move foreward with it I just need time to clear my head. I have questions below and hopefully someone can help.

1. Our I797 expires in July of 2010, Can it be extend if so how and how long can they extend it and who do I need to call.

2. Does this affect the process besides delaying it?

You do not need to submit any chat logs with the I-129f as they are not required at this stage and prove nothing you need to prove for the petition (meeting in person) Anything submitted to USCIS must be in English or accompanied by an English translation

Here is what I have so far and let me know if this will be sufficient enough pls. I have stamped on my passport, copy of my itinerary and reciept of purchase. I dont have a copy of the airline tix or the boarding passes. I have hotel receipts during my stay, bank account purchases, phone logs and a few emails, copies of cards that she sent. I was afraid of the chat logs because it is an enormous amount plus the translation will be tedious.

Im a filipino american and my fiance is from Manila. We have some correspondence over the yahoo messenger. I mostly speak english and she answers back in tagalog. MY QUESTION IS, do i need to provide translation when i include that with my I29 form?

Another question I just remember. Do I need to send these logs on my first initial petition or should send this stuff later to my fiance for proof?

Hello all,

New to this and I am in the process of gathering ppwork to petition my fiance. My question is I may be moving soon but not totally sure yet. Therefore I am not sure which intent address to put on the I-29 form for my fiance. I have a physical address where a I live now and I have one of those UPS address as well where I obtain mail. How sensitive is the Immigration if I was to use my UPS address for now with all my paperwork rather than my physical address in case I have to move?
