Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that I booked our trip with her current last name (same as mine) Her passport has her "Maiden name".
We did just open up her own bank account which the bank statement we get will have our address on it and be enough to get her drivers license...

The check was for $1450. That's $1,070 for I-485, and $380 for I-765...
-
Thanks guys. We just sent off a completely new packet, with $1,450.00

We do not have a green card yet, nor does my wife have ID or drivers license... Can we still travel to Hawaii? What does she use as ID at the airport???
-
We sent our AOS over a month ago, and haven't heard anything back... I just noticed on VJ that people sent a check! We didn't send any money... Could this be the reason? If so, Can we send a check somehow?
-
It shows I need a G-325A form... We already had that... Do we need to do it again?

Hello all. We were hoping someone here could walk us through the Adjustment of Status. We can't seem to find much information about this step...

Finally! What a journey! We got married April 15th, 2011! No wedding, but we plan on having a formal wedding next year, and then another one in Ukraine so her family can witness it.
Now, What's our next step?

After waiting 10 months. She arrives today! We are so excited!!!

Hi all, I'm trying to fill out the I-134 Affidavit of Support form and I need to show some evidence of my income. I became self employed the beginning of 1996, And I do not have 2010 tax returns. So, I thought I would go with the "Report of Commercial Rating Concern" but I have no idea what one is or how to obtain it. Does anyone know?
-
Thank you all! We were so excited to receive our NOA2. We are gathering the rest of the documents needed now. And yes, I hope to go to Kiev along with her, and bring her back with me to the states...!
-
I just got my NOA2. It took just under 7 months...
-
I'm curious as to why you guys didn't take one single picture together??? When I go to visit my lady, we take an average of 400 per trip...
Yes, you need a few photos for the application! It is a must!

My Fiance' and I are very excited! After waiting 7 months. We finally received our NOA2. We have been approved!
Now what? From what I gather... We wait until the information is sent to the US embassy in Ukraine? (takes about 2-4 weeks?) What documents should we be getting together while we wait? I know theres some form of proof of income req... I haven't filed my 2010 taxes yet. Is there some other form of proof I can supply? (I am self employed)
P.S. Did I mention we are very excited?!!!

Have you called them?
Yes. they sent me an email stating, If you don't hear anything within 3 months. Call back... Not acceptable.
-
This is getting ridiculous. I don't know what else to do. I've called them, wrote them, contacted my congressman, Nothing. What else can I do. People got their NOA2 before me, whom filed after me. Why is mine taking so long? And my fiance is getting impatient now... I mean who do these people think they are? God? They decide who comes and who don't... I'm just getting very frustrated.!
What else can I do?
-
In other words... "If you don't hear from us within 3 months, JUST WAIT LONGER!"

I called them this morning. They put in a "request for update" And said I should here something within 30 days...

Oasis? Why so hostile? I DO have patience. I am very patient. We both are. But when we see someone elses petition get processed in 1/2 the time, we start to wonder. We have been extremely patient. Just very anxious!
Why did we file? Hmmmm. Maybe because we are madly in love, and want to be together forever... And this is the only way. And if for some reason, our visa gets denied, Then I decided I am moving to Ukraine. We must be together, there is no other way.
P.S. Sorry to read about your split.

I just noticed Robert De Bonda's Signature on a post with his timeline. We filed the same time (Well I actually filed about a week before them) He received his NOA2 in 3 months! And already has an interview scheduled!
Mine has not been touched, and I haven't heard one word since we filed on July 8 2010... What gives???
-
Oh trust me, We use Skype every single day for at least 4 hours. We have been talking now for a little over a year. Like I said, I have been there 4 times for 2.5 weeks at a time. We are very much in love! But also very anxious! Not hearing ANYTHING gets discouraging...
I just wish she could come here to visit.

the only option is get a tourist Visa
I'm assuming a tourist visa is not any easier...

1-for english, 2, for case status. Then it asks to enter my receipt #... I enter that, and it just tells me what I already know... There is no option to talk to a "live" representative
Do we need a reentry permit for a two-week vacation?

My wife and I are planning a two-week trip to Ukraine she is a green card holder and legal permanent resident. Do we need to apply for reentry permit? Or is the green card enough to come back to the United States?
