  1. rsan, Congratulations again

6 months visa is single entry visa which will expire when he stepped on the U.S soil.

At POE, he will be issued a 2 year CR1 GC. But not the physical card. It will be a one year valid I-551 stamp, but it is good for him to travel outside the U.S.

In another few weeks to 2 months, he will get the physical GC by mail.

    Loto

    hello lotofpatience,

so basically with his temporary Green card he can travel arround.

    thank you rsan

  2. Why should your husband have the original I864? You submitted it to NVC. NVC should have forwarded it to Embassy.

Are you saying you actually have the original I-864? How's that even possible?

our case (expediate) move to local consulate before even i submit the I864 to NVC, so basically i had the original. consulate confirmed me that copy should be fine but of course not. we find out in the interview that they need the original so i had to fedex it to my husband.

  3. Hi there to everyone, Ok I am so happy now because our case finally got completed by NVC. Unfortunately the representative that I talked to said that my husband was not scheduled for an interview date for the month of October. I have hope though that it will be for the month of november, but I have some questions about the interview and the documents to take for my husband when his interview is scheduled. Here they go:

What else besides the following does he have to take when going to interview?

1.Copy of I-130,copy of biographic information for him, copy of visa application (DS-230, both parts),copy of I-864,2 copies of passport style photos, his passport and also a copy of the passport, the copies of all the documents that he send with the DS-230. For proof of relationship we have: Pictures of family together in our wedding, also pictures together in the places we have been ,like vacation, visiting families, etc. also records of skype calls, even though I have many pages like, 1000+, Idont know how many should my husband take with him, I think 1000+ pages of skype chat is too much. also we have the dvd from our wedding and pictures in the wedding.Copy of Stamps in my passport for the three years that I visited him in the summer. And this is all we have. So I need to know what else we can include or will this be enough, and also what are my chances for a November interview, the embassy is Tirana, Albania. Thanks to everyone for your help and I am sorry of writing so much. Thanks

i think you are good. take the original passport of applicant, orignal marriage certi. and copy of all the document that you sent so far.

here is link - questions they ask in the interview

  5. hi team

due to circumstance, we just have to submit DS230 and I864 all together at local VFS office after we got our interview date. a week ago, my husband went and submitted all the documents. later he told me that he made mistake in DS230 (item 30 and spell mistake on his mom's name), how do i correct it now? he is going to the interview next week. we do not know if 1864 or DS230 document processed. should my husband indicate the mistake at interview?

    thank you in advance

4)my brother (i live with him) - what form do i need- I-864 or I-864A?

    Thank you

  10. Did they cash your check or money order? Did you send it with return receipt requested or certified mail? Did you talk to one of the customer service representatives? Best of luck!

Yes. the cash is checked. i send it with receipt. i got NOA1 saying they received my application. no word afward.

i did not talk to customer sev. representative.. what is their no. only i have is from NOA1.. which is 1.800.375.5283.. i can not even go futher with a receipt no. i have. seems to be it is not updated in the system

  11. My husband is now calling them and asking if ew have an updated date... that's a "touch" right? and if not, well, I think we are canvcelling and restarting, this is plainly a dead loss. We kept a copy of the entire application in case they pulled this. I just weep that we have wasted a month.

what phone no did you call to ask your case status. for me, phone message also said same message as what was replied on online. thanks

  12. Yes they did. I don't wanrt to relist them. We had everything right. We received NOA1 dated 19th as did 2 other people on this forum with NOA1 dates for 19th-21st. Those people have nothing on the system either. It seems I;'m the only one who is taking this DEADLY SERIOUSLY.

    hello Shirorisu,

I am in the same pod. i filed in may as well.. it is more than 30 days. i went checked online and called phone #...it state that "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." i am also worried and taking this very seriously... visajourney memebers have told me to wait until 4 to 6 months for NOA2 and told me prepare other documents until i receive noa2.. please let me know what are your actions regarding this. i have not contacted anyone to take this further. see below for filed date.. i am gald to found u in the same situation however i dont know how to comfort us...

see link for my posting on this matter: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/262226-what-do-i-do-next/page__pid__4025034#entry4025034

i am hoping for the best.

  13. you filed your I-130 in May? I believe this is what you are saying... and this would be for a CR-1 visa? if soo then you do nothing right now... except wait... and wait some more and just when you think you will looose your mind you will have to wait some more time... and then in about 5+ months from your NOA1 date <probably sometime in October> you will recieve your NOA2

I have seen some ppl get the NOA2 in about 4 months, but at the same time I have seen it take 6+ months to get it.... I think the average for India is about 5 months though

Good Luck  and Happy Waiting

    thank Amit-N-Melody and Atencio,

that was helpful.. i can not believe it is going to take 5 to 6 month for NOA2. is there anyway to expedite the process? I am pregnant, i thought the whole process takes 6 months.. so i can have him here before our child birth..

    immm it is so frustrating

thanks for all your help and thanks to visajourney
