  1. It depends on her English more than anything I think. I went to Thailand and brought my wife back because her English isn't very good. We went back for Songkran this year, and due to ticket prices increasing, we were on different flights. She did ok. One thing I did do, was bring all the checked luggage with me because her POE was not the final destination. It's kind of confusing because you have to get your luggage, go through customs and then re-check your luggage. If there's a way you could avoid that, it would be easier for her, unless your POE is also the final destination.

Her English is pretty good, she is just a little bit nervous about it but i am thinking she will be fine. Does anyone know that if she is having problems at the LA airport any chance they would call me and let me help? Or is she on her own at that point until she gets through and picks up her bags and leaves?

  2. So i sent the first I-129 form in on January 22nd or so and we were approved on May 12. Pretty quickly that is for sure. So now we are deciding when to have her fly over.

Just wondering if anyone could give some advie. Is it ok for her to travel alone to LA and go through customs without me? Or should i fly and meet her and come back together in case she has any problems? Thanks for any help.

  3. It is going to be specific for any given country or Consulate. I am giving you a link to the PDF which contains the Packet 3 checklist for the Bangkok Embassy.

    Good Luck.

    Hi Audy-Rob

I am going through the process in BKK and am on the same time line as you. Although i am a few weeks ahead of you as we sent in the packet 3 information 2 weeks ago when i was in Thailand. The post office tried to tell us we had to get a PIN number to get reciept for packet 3. I dont think this is true and we did not. Have you experienced this yet?

If you would like to email me so we can stay in touch and help each other that would be great. my email is nnascarr38@yahoo.com

    Thanks

  4. I am new to this and used this website a lot in my preparation of the I-129F Form. Thank you all so much for the information.

I filed my I-129F about a week ago and yesterday i recieved the form I-797C from Homeland security. Is this the same as the NOA1?

Just curious as i dont see a 797c mentioned anywhere or i dont remember seeing it.

Thanks again all for the information.
