Does anyone know who the first person to request the envelope is? Does anyone look at it at the point of departure, or just once my fiance lands in the US? Is it normally opened at the departure airport, or only after arriving?

My fiance also recieved his visa, but he DID rip open the seal envelope (obviously before noticing that it was marked "DO NOT OPEN"). The staffers at the Paris embassy warned him about all kinds of things, but didn't mention he would receive a sealed envelope he should open.

Does anyone know what this means for us? We're worried he'll be denied entry and our wedding is in a week and a half!

My fiance received his k-1 visa by mail and did not notice the words "do not open" on the sealed envelope inside.

Does anyone know what repercussions this will have? Will he be denied entry to the US? Has anyone else been in the same situation.
