    Thanks for your quick responses. However, I am looking for more clarification on this even after reading the document to avoid any confusion.

    My father in-law got the perm status back in 2005 and since then he has visited states every year for 1 month or so (let say 10 months all together) but he has not stayed there for consecutive months. I believe he is not eligible to apply for citizenship please correct me if I am wrong here. Now please tell me for how many consecutive months does he have to stay in states before he can apply? also does the consecutive months matter?

  3. Did you expedite your case by any chance? Anyway, good luck with the rest of the steps to come

    We are going through this journey 2nd time because our first case was denied after the 2nd interview. So, it could be our old record that USCIS might be able to track down and approve this new case.

    Now do you guys consider yourself lucky or not after finding out about our journey :dance:. So, it is good to leave it on God and just keep moving :dance:

    Somebody who filed in the month of November has already received NOA2.... Although as you can see it was super slow in the month of November however now it is picking up in the month of January... I am keeping my fingers cross :wow:

    Hi, i got issued a blue slip too and for a similar reason. The divorce certificate that i submitted was not in the required format. I was told to submit urdu divorce certificate from union council and english divorce certificate from family court.

    Can you tell me if the embassy specified to you what type of divorce certificate they want from you?

    As for your question, i called them embassy and asked them how long it'll take them to process the documents that i will re-submit? I was told two to four weeks....

Hi all, i have just came back from my medical examination for my interview on 06 oct in Islamabad,now the receptionist has given me one sealed packet which i am suppose to taketo embassy as it is.and he has also goiven me my Xray and record for vaccinations and he told me to take only sealed packet to embassy and keep xray and vaccinations record and take it to USA once visa is approved,Just want to know is this correct and i dont have to take my xrays to embassy??

    I would take everything even the x-ray you never know wht they will ask for......
