Less then 5 minutes ago I received an email from NVC, I will have the best xmas ever..... My interview is dec 22th @ 9am.... What can you ask better for the holiday. Can beleive it, we are almost done

Let us know if this helps with speeding up the process. My husband's uncle knows someone in Congress (I think thats what it is, I'm not up on my American political terms yet) and said he would contact him if it would help us speed things along.

Hi my husband is in contact with his congressman since end of sept, and they can't help speed up the process. He explain to him all our story and explain to him that I need a surgery, I'm waiting for 1 year and 1/2 in Montreal to have it. I also have to decline to job offer because I don't have any paper. So for us it didn't help at all. They only things they say it's I will have my interview soon.... If I look in the spreadsheet, there's only 4 couples in front of us waiting for interview...so I guess they are right...maybe soon...

Congratulation! It give us hope to have our interview soon.... Unfortunatly we will celebrate our first anniversary appart.... But seeing you having your interview in dec, give us hope to celebrate x-mas and new year together. Thanks for sharing your good news with us.

Hi everybody, yesterday we got a good news from NVC, login fail....After they ask me for my military record, it took 10 days and had a login fail and an email saying that they will send us information for the interview at Montreal embassy soon... We did everything electronic and it when very well.. Now just need to wait for interview...so cool.

Our story is not like your, but maybe you'll have an idea. Btw sorry, I'm french so my english writing is sometime bad...

My husband is from Connecticut, I'm from Montreal. We got married in Montreal nov 28th 2009. We filed for I-130 on dec 19th and got out NOA1 on dec 29th 2009, our NOA2 on may 4th 2010. Our files have been transfer to NVC and pay all fees and send all the paperworks they need and we are waiting for approuval. What I read for interview in Montreal it's between 3 to 5 months waiting. We expected at worst I'll be living with my husband in oct 2010. Hope it help for figure how long it take, but every case is different, it could be longer or could be shorter, just be patient.

I think we can included ourself in the thread... we got our NOA2 yesterday!

We are all ready for our NVC adventure! My husband will take care of it...but all our forms are ready, I have my police certificat, my birth certificat, got my passport last week, just have to wait for my hubby! Thanks alot for all your words of encouragement, I think the worst part is done!

Just got a txt message, our NOA2 have been send to us yesterday!!! Yes! so happy!

We are still waiting to be approuved. We didn't have any touched, nothing since dec 29th. I might told my husband to call his senator, because I need to have done soon I have to move out from my appartment for june 1st and have to place to leave during the waiting...

If you look at the USCIS website they say 5 months, hang it there...we are in the same boat, we received our NOA1 on dec 29th, and nothing happened since, no touch, nothing. I guess we need to be patient!!!

I like how you explain that espacially my first languague is french...so sometime it's hard for me to really understand. My husband do the same things when I don't understand too well. So I guess we are in the slow lane...lol Thanks for this explanation, I have to relax and continue knitting, packing somes boxes and wait for my approuval...

You are not alone, we are still a few poeples who wait for NOA2, and we are one of them ... Like my husband told me, no news, good news. We just need to take a deep breath and wait... Hoping for the best soon!

We have a question. We are looking at the timeline for I-130 IRc1, we ask for similar timeline. On 20 similar timeline like us, only 5 didn't get any approuval. Most of the approuval we look are from peoples who files after us. Is it normal? I'm getting nervous because we didn't have any news yet and the peoples who files after us are already approuved. Should I be so worry? Is there anythings we can do? Thanks for your help.

We try to get married in US, my now husband live in Ct. The goal was to get married on oct 10th 2009. The week before I went to the border, didn't say I'm going to get married, just go for a visit. The told me to go inside. So I went inside and they investigate, I had all the proof I was going to go back in Montreal, my lease, a letter from my job etc, etc.. But they denied me entering in US. They told me not to try to cross the border for at least the next 8 months because I will be definitly denied entering US. So we cancel our wedding, and had to plan again a wedding in Montreal for nov 28th 2009. Since then we apply for a visa, I got my notice of action and I try to go see my husband. The first time it went very well, the second not that well, they let me go in US, but it took almost 2 hours at the border, talking with the border patrol people, showing them proof I'm coming back in Montreal. So for me I don't think it's a good idea to get married in US if you don't have the right visa. But it's up to you, it's your decision, but I don't recommend to get married in US and apply after.

Hi, we had the same problem. My husband leave in Ct and I leave in Montreal. Last sept I've been denied to entry in US. Since then we got married in Montreal 2 months ago, we fill for CR1 and got a notice of action beginning of january. Since we got this paper, I went to visit my husband and didn't have any problem. I was afraid because when they denied to entry US, they took my picture and finger prints. But the border told me that with this notice and my wedding cerficate, it's fine.

We got married on nov 28th 2009, they received all the papers on dec 22th, the check as been cash on dec 29th and they send us the notice the same day, so I guess we are on the december filler too.... Now we just need to wait.....
