  1. Please look out for your own health, as you also have children to raise and yourself to look after. I know you love your husband to the endo f the earth, but if at this moment, you are not getting it back because of the daughters" power play"' between you and her daddy... In the end, you have to take care of you, . " sometimes a serious ultimatum works". Meaning... No ye

Ling, or screaming just save some money, and tell your husband" I can't do this no more, I need a break. And take u n d kids away for a couple of days, tough love works when your voice and tears do not. ......just my advice. My prayers are with you for happiness.

  2. Hi,

Thank you visa journeyers for all your advice in the past it helped us get through some nail biting timeframes.. :).

I am married to a u.s. Citizen, and have a green card. I have just applied for a uk visitors visa. But I had an offense for driving without car insurance and tag, and they gave me supervised probation, which i was not locked up, just seeing a probation officer once a month .during the probation time, which was for one year, I have traveled to Ghana 3 times and went on cruises with my wife and kids twice with permission of the court to travel. I have had red light tickets and a couple of parking tickets in the past for expired meter. (that is all it was...nothing strange found illegal in the car, nor any other prior run ins with the law) so, now the probation is ended, and it was completed .

I am now waiting for info if my visa will be approved, I will be going with my wife who is a u.s. Citizen .has anyone else had a traffic offense and tried for a British visa? Any info would help..thanks!

F.y.I. My green card has just been approved for an extra year while I am waiting to go on my interview to change status to a permanent green card.

  3. We had an infopass appointment at 9:30 and they actually opened up at 10 am in balt. because of the snow,, we still went. its been jan.21st since our interview, and we heard nothing, we called uscis, talk to supervisor, n they said still pending, so we got to infopass today, n dey called the lady that interviewed us, and she was the person who told me..""ooh,n 2 weeks u will hear something..'" so they asked her about our file and she said'' she was not done yet and she does not know when she will be done reviewing it, n the clerk told my husband n i check back n a month, by this time by mouth was dragging the floor, like i couldn't believe this,so i quietly but nicely said...'could i please speak with a supervisor..' the lady said yes, sit down, so i noticed a guy came to a window looking at a file, n then he called us and ask for my husband's passport and his EAD,stamped his passport for 6months and said told my husband that he will receive his GC within 2 to 4 weeks......if we did not ask to speak to a supervisor,we would have come back home and our file would have still been sitting in front of somebody......... Guys if you dont hear back from uscis please dont stop making infopass....good luck good.  :thumbs:

  4. actually they opened up at 10 am in balt., but we had a 9am apt, we still went. its been jan.21st since our interview, and we heard nothing, we called uscis, talk to supervisor, n they said still pending, so we got to infopass today, n dey called the lady that interviewed us, and she was the person who told me..""ooh,n 2 weeks u will hear something..'" so they asked her about our file and she said'' she was not done yet and she does not know when she will be done reviewing it, n the clerk told my husband n i check back n a month, by this time by mouth was dragging the floor, like i couldn't believe this,so i quietly but nicely said...'could i please speak with a supervisor..' the lady said yes, sit down, so i noticed a guy came to a window looking at a file, n then he called us and ask for my husband's passport and his EAD,stamped his passport for 6months and said told my husband that he will receive his GC within 2 to 4 weeks......if we did not ask to speak to a supervisor,we would have come back home and our file would have still been sitting in front of somebody......... 5. had to provide this documents:

documents that shows me and my husband own assets jointly, that we have prepared for our marital future, that we share the same residence and pictures from beginning of our relationship up to the present.

i had all documents except those though i brought my wedding pictures on that day of my interview but still i had to provide what the IO was asking for them to believe. by the way, it occured when he read my pre-nup that's why he asked more evidences and also it is not in my position to put my name on the utility bills and insurances and etc. cause if my partner doesn't want or not interested to put me in everything or whatsoever. i just did all what i can and i have been married to him when i got here and up to the present in good faith nothing else.

dont worry, as long as they are still working on your case, uscis , that is the most important. but you will need to show your name on a phone bill , cable internet bill, as all this proves the realness of your marriage . good luck, as i am also waiting on results from uscis. take care.

  8. Any tips on how to best organize and present photos sent with the ROC paperwork?

We're planning on including 10-15 with our documentation - a good assortment over the last two years, including trips we've taken and times out with friends, family, etc.

We purchased photo albums, but also brought a photo album for photos to give them. we wanted to put an extra step forward. we took about 500 pictures..lol , but in the end we gave them 30.

  9. I got my green card today in the mail after looong tiring journey.....

For all those who were asked to do another medical.

If you look in the instructions for the I-693 medical form section 3 part 2 it states if you came on K-1 or K-3 visa and had medical examination in your country before you came to the US and you have filed for your AOS within a year of that medical examination you ARE NOT REQUIRED to do another medical.

I just thought to share this with everyone because i know it cost money and time.

    Congradulations!!! time to celebrate!!

  10. had interview, we were both very nervous. it was the interview where u are separated. so my husband went in first, as i painstakenly waited, just nervous, this day FINALLY CAME!!! and after about 45 minutes, we switched, he came out and i went in. they asked my name, how many windows n my bedroom, tv's in house, computers in house, bed sheet colors, comforter color on bed, asked me about the proposal , how was i proposed to, about what made us get married, about his mother, have i met her? when she comes to u.s. where does she stay? asked has any of us been to the hospital, about do we have any cars jointly owned. what my husband did for a living before i met him . at the end she said our questions matched well. and in 2 years dont forget to change his status. so i took that as a yes!! green card may be comming, so i asked her, (the lady was very nice) as im sure they all are,but she wanted to hear anything i had to say.she said well if its up to me, id approve it, but m supervisor has to sign off on it. then she mentioned it again, ...dont forget in 2 years, 3 months before his temporary status ends you have to file to change his status.... just a good note, we didnt have health insurance, or life insurance, but you have to think "smart". take things that is also not on the ""list"" . swwe are both in the u.s. living together, but i still copied my cell phone bills for one year, and each moth i went through, and highlighted each call made and recieved by my husband and me, copied my facebook pictures with the comments on it, as they are dated , so i had comments on pictures from when we were dating to present. took several picture albums, like ....7. we've only been married for 1 year and a half., and dated for 7 months, but you can never take enough evidence. pics with him n my family, me n his family, holidays, or jus playing around pics . if they look interested , tell a funny story or situation u were in, as long as you overwhelm them with true evidence and you are in love, and truly married for love, you wont have a problem, the people that are not truly married, seem to stick out like a 'sore thumb' its kinda obvious. we dressed nice, like we were going to church,. so even though no one commented much on my first post, i still wanted to post my info if it can be any help to anyone, that is a blessing.

good luck everyone, but....we are still waiting for the greencard, she said we should hear something in 2 weeks.

  11. Hello everyone....

very nervous. as the first interview in baltimore stated for i-485 , and we had our approval paper for i-130, that interview was confusing as our interviewer an x- military man said they didnt have any papers in the file showing my approval i-130, and i showed him the original copy they showed us. He said most likely we will be called for a 2nd interview as the file was not complete,(but the file was huge)he asked jus what we got, we showed him pictures and utility bills, we were nervous, as my husband and i have an age difference me , wife being older by 10 years,(but husband still looks older (smile) and he was out of status when we married by 3 years. We have just been notified of a second interview for i-130 in January. Boy.. are we nervous. im sure we will be separated.

on the first interview i was so sure it wasnt a problem, so now when we didnt get approved right away, i was suprised.

they said this interview in january is with officer Z, and in the ground floor in baltimore, strange, as the first interview was in the first floor, . anybody been through a similar experience or have any suggestions? thank you. as i have 2 kids already, (the wife, us citizen) but we have none together.
