  1. Congratulations. Isn't it awesome to get a long break from USCIS? Mine arrived about one month too after my interview. I got it yesterday. I didn't see any instructions on returning the EAD card though. What did you do with your EAD? Do we have to destroy it?

Thanks everybody for congrats!!! And on the EAD - they took mine at the interview, guess they figured i don't need it cause i alredy have a goverment issued DL and i didn't have any need for and extra ID, so there. But i think it would be best to just cut it up in little pieces and throw it away or just keep it like a reminder of all the waiting :)

    Good luck to everybody!!!

P.S. My "green card" is actually GREEN!!!!!! lol

  2. I got my "welcome to america" letter today in the mail :) wonder how long it's gonna take them to get my card out!

Just wanted to thank everybody for support and help, im not gonna be joining u for ROC thread since i got my GC for 10 years (we've been married since 2007) but maybe i'll see some of u for naturalization threads ;)

Congrats on all the approvals, and EADs and APs and GCs!!!!

And good luck to the rest of u :)

  3. Grats! I still neither get text nor email/web status that my GC ordered production. What's wrong?

    thx :)

Don't worry, the online thing is so unreliable, my I-130 says it's still in the initial review and I was actually suprised that I got a text cause before I got them only every other time for touches although tere was activity. U have nothing to worry about, the people at USCIS not the most meticulous in the world when it comes to updating, I don't think they relize how stressful it is for those on the other side of the process :(

ull get the card before u get any notification ;)

  4. We got approved!!!! Yay!!!! It was short and sweet, we got there just in time. Got called in, sworn in and the lady was very nice and made us comfortable. She said: "We'll go thru ur applications and then if u have any questions u can ask me. Will be done in 20 min not more, it's time for lunch and i'm hungry" we just laughed :)

She went thru all of it name, address, phone number... all we were saying is yes and smiling. Then she went on to -

    where did u meet?

    when did u get married?

have u met each others families?

    where do u work?

what are ur plans for the future?

After all that she pulled out a letter of approval and congratulated us, i couldn't believe we were done! She didn't ask to see any pictures or ask any personal questions, said that we should get my card in 3 weeks and send us on our way :)

So, it was a good experience and i wish all of u the same :)

Thx for all the help and support from VJers and good luck to everybody.

  5. Hey congratulations! I agree...what are you going to do with that EAD now?

Good luck with your interview! You'll be fine!

Thx, im really nervous but my husband is very relaxed, he just said that they better not drag it cause he has to be at work at 3  he said if they want to, they can come over later in the week for some coffee in case they have more questions  he is a dork like that

  6. Hey I put a review into this forum, and just did my "official" review there now.. it was the 20th Apr so follow the dates backwards on the forum. It honestly wasn't too bad, at the time we where just frustrated, but the IO kept his word and reviewed it quickly and we got the approval update the following evening. So I think he was just doubting himself and wanted to double check. So it was ok... he was friendly (just looked stern) and listened to everything we said, mostly it was just a conversation.. until he said we where missing a form. Which he checked on while we where there, and tried to reassure us it should be ok - i was just freaking out tho haha.

    Hope it goes well... x

Thx, i'm freaking out now and it's 5 days away! I wonder if they relize that when people go into those offices it's intimidating by itself plus for the interview that'll make u or break u - it's even worse!!! I'm just glad that my hubby is as calm as it can be, at least one of us won't forget our names

  7. Lol you will get 2 production ordered and one we shipped it for both the EAD and green card. The second production ordered is USCIS getting the document from wherever they had it printed, and then they will send you another one to say they shipped it.

Oh, thx for the explanation, cause every time i get a message from them, my heart jumps and i think what went wrong?? This USCIS deal does not encourage the optimist in u, thats for sure :hehe:
