  1. Hello everyone here is my update. On April 28 we received the interview waiver letter. Mixed emotions as we knew we would have to wait a bit longer for the green card but not have to do an interview. On May 9 we got a letter saying our AOS interview was scheduled for 6 June in El Paso Tx. Now we are really excited and getting our documents together to prove the marriage is real. Good luck to all and wishing everyone on here a rapid journey.

  2. Heres our update for today. Received my wife's and son's EAD cards in the mail today. USCIS did a very good job with the notifications. They let me know of the approval on tuesday 11 march and sent me the tracking number when it shipped friday 14 march.Got another update today when they were delivered. Both of them have standing job offers just were waiting on cards. No RFE'S yet and praying the rest of the journey continues just as smooth.

  3. Our AOS/EAD file was accepted on the 20th of January 2014. We received my wifes biometrics appointment letter yesterday dated for the 14th of February. The problem with that is that is also the date she is scheduled to go in for C-section. instead of rescheduling and risking delaying the whole process we decided to try an early walk in today. The service center is a 2 hour drive one way so we were praying for a positive outcome. The people at the Lubbock Texas Service Center were very friendly and accomodating. the entire process took a maximum of 15 minutes to capture Biometrics for my wife and step son. Good Luck to everyone and now to wait for the next step of our journey.

  4. Hi, I paid my petition fee with a personal check. I used my online banking to verify when the check was cashed and was able to view a scanned copy of the front and most important the back of the check. I say important because on it is stamped your case number. With that I was able to set up my account at USCIS and sign up for email and text notification for updates. All this was done before I had the actual NOA1 in my hand. Hope this info helps and good luck

  5. NOA2 mailed out on the 25th on May! I got an email this morning from USCIS about our petition approval and have not stopped grinning and smiling my friends. With the help of this site and all the great people on here I filled out the petition myself and didnt get an RFE. I had talked to an attorney before finding this site and I was going to give away $2000 plus to have him fill out the forms and do what i did myself. My journey isnt over yet but closer to the finish line. Thanks everyone

  6. I used my P.O Box for my mailing address for my K-1 petition. Received my NOA1 without any delays or problems. There is a question on the I-129F that asks for the address where my fiancé intends to live when in the United States and that's where I put in my physical address. Hope this helps

  7. I was stationed at R.A.F. Lakenheath in the U.K. the base always put on a great fourth of July picnic with carnival rides and a fairly large firework display to finish it off. The picnic was open to all. Many of these in attendance was the local Brits. If they knew the "true" meaning of the holiday I dont know all i know that everyone was having a great time and enjoying the hot dogs and beer.

  8. You came to the right place! I too felt overwhelmed when I decided to do the K-1 myself. This site has all the guides and info you need to get it done. Just take it one section at a time and the more you read the more comfortable it will all seem. The people here are great at answering questions but go over the guides first and alot of your basic questions will be answered there. Good luck

  9. I thought i would feel some sort of relief after sending off my I-129F but now I just keep wondering if I forgot to sign something or if not enough info. I went over the whole thing many times so I know everything is fine just me being paranoid. Oh well hope time flies

  10. Well guys after many sleepless nights of translating and gathering documents and pictures its done. Everything is assembled perfectly and heading towards Vermont as I type this. My goal was to have it mailed off by the 1st of March but a few unexpected bumps delayed my filing. A few days behind schedule but finally made it. Good luck to all that are gathering information and knowledge and now the waiting begins.

  11. Great input guys. Luckily got a pic emailed to me and used a free passport photo software to crop it and get it all right. I guess you guys are right about exagerrating the fraud issue but I was just chicken. The final pics came out great and Im going to go over the entire packet and check everything over. I havnt looked at it for today and maybe not even tomorrow so that I can go over it entirely with "fresh" eyes and mind. Better do it right and not rush it and have everything delayed. Good luck to everyone here
