  1. hi guys, i just found this forum and i can see that the last post was made in june. I hope somebody reads this. my husband is in the military and he is staioned in germany. i finally got the command sponsorship which puts my name on his orders. i know i am eligible for naturalization even though i have a conditional green card. my question is, do i file the N-400 from the US where i am right now or should i move to germany first and then apply? also what is a I- 751? do i have to file that too? i don't have my travel dates yet. any help would be much appreciated.

    thanks.

    Hi UST82,

I-751 is the Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence.

And YES you are elegible to file for N-400 under Expedited Naturalization under INA Section 319 ( b ) as long as your husband got his command sponsorship orders to be stationed over seas for a period major than one year.

You should file in the US before PCSing.

Hope that was of a help tp your concerns.

  2. Hello everyone,

I am a military spouse. My husband and I have filed the I-751 on June 30 and got NOA1 dated July 2nd and then NOA2 for biometric scheduled on August 14.

Done my BioM. on the day and time scheduled and since then haven't heard a word from the USCIS, nor got any updates on my case on their website nor my e-mail.

Now, here is the situation: My husband got his orders to relocate overseas with his dependents (which are the kids and I) for 3 years, and he should report there the first week of March.( my case is getting time sensitive ) And I was wondering if I am still eligible for the Expeditious Naturalization For Spouses of U.S. Citizens Employed Abroad ? tho I have already got a pending case (I-751) with USCIS. Should I go ahead and file for the N-400 on that base regardless? or wait till I get a sign of life on my pending case lol.. I am really confused.

And one more Q. Do any one know if I am eligible to travel with an official passport to my husband's new duty station overseas? and if yes how can I obtain it ,having on mind that I am not a USC, BUT I am traveling on government orders.

    Thanks in advance.

p.s I've tried the Military help line, Coudln't get any usefull info from them.
