  1. Approved!

My fiance's interview was this morning at 8am. She arrived at 7:00 am, and was the 3rd in line. She was called to the first window after 20 minutes. The second window called her about 45 minutes later. It was all over by 9am and she was approved! Now we are just waiting on the courier for next week (hopefully).

The only affidavit of support (Form I-134) evidence that was taken from my fiance was my 2009 tax transcript. The rest of the evidence (about 3 more pieces of information such as bank and investment statements) was glanced at, but not requested. Other than that, she supplied her birth certificate, divorce decree and police certificates (Poland and UK).

The first woman she met took the original and photocopies (and took fingerprints). The second woman who called her to a different desk returned the originals to my fiance. The second woman also took fingerprints (right hand only). And my fiance swore the oath before the second woman, who also asked some questions: (i) How we met? (ii) when did I propose? and (iii) how often have we been seeing each other? and (iv) do she intend to work in the US? Both women asked my fiance about her intended date of entry into the US.

No problems whatsoever. She told me the interview seemed like a formality. She spent about 5 minutes at the second window. The second woman said the visa would arrive in about 5 working days and described the manner of packaging.

All in all - a good experience!

  2. Congrats! Seems like the 17th is going to be a busy day for K-1's. What time is your interview at? Where abouts in GA are you heading to? Two other people interviewing on the 17th (myself being one) are also moving to the Atlanta, GA area!

Our interview is 8am. And we are moving to Decatur, GA -- I'm trying to prepare my fiance's family for the heat!

  3. Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are preparing the documents needed for her London interview. We are following the instructions contained at this link:

    http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

    Our question is:

We know that she -- as the prospective immigrant -- is required to bring her original birth certificate and her original/certified divorce certificate. Does she also need to bring my birth certificate and my divorce certificate. She is the non-US Citizen. I am the US citizen.

I know it's probably a good idea to have them anyway, but I am checking to see if they are required... Thanks!

  4. Hey everyone:

We had something odd (but good) happen. My fiance opened the mail in our London flat and Packet 3 was there! We thought we were at the stage of waiting for an NOA2 but obviously it was approved and sent to London via the NVC with no electronic or letter notification. So we are about a month further ahead than we thought we were.

Anyone have any idea how long (ballpark) it takes to get from Packet 3 return to interview in London? We are planning a wedding for 23 July in the USA.

  5. NOA2 Finally!!!!!! I thought this day would never come!!! Thank you God! After almost 6 years it looks me and Alyonushka will be together forever soon (LONG story)!

Captain. Would it be OK for me to pick your brain as to the next processes since I will be in Kiev about a month behind you?

Also folks, we still have some people on the RumRunner who have been below decks with me patiently waiting NOA2. I will be with the parrot still on board till they are all approved. We will leave no man or woman behind!!!!

    Steve

Congrats! I'm still waiting on NOA-2 approval... so far no touches/news...

  6. Anyone else STILL waiting on the NOA2? I'm really going crazy. NOA1 Dec 8 and no touches since Dec 11 2009, they told me I could call and request that the case be updated next Friday April 9 2010 and USCIS would have to update it within 45 days.. I was hoping to have the wedding in June, don't know if that's too unrealistic now or not.

Very frustrating because I know I've done absolutely everything right- we both have totally clean background checks and was very thorough and organized with the packet. I guess just really bad luck. If it's taking so long, why no RFE or touches? Grrr..

Hoping someone else in my situation will speak up so I don't feel so alone.

For now just encouraging fiance to get everything prepared.

I'm still waiting on my NOA-2 as well. I suspect we'll see action soon.
