  1. Thank you everyone for your positive feedback and prayers, everything is back to normal FOR NOW  My dad really did his thing by talking to him man to man and when your coming from a negative background and life it's easy to feed into foolishness, but all is well now. :star:

  2. :star:

Thanks for the feedback, my husband called multi. x's 2 day to see if we could talk through it, so I'm going to see how it ends up. My parents been married 35 years and my dad told my husband " A man does what is needed and a boy does what he wants" so which one are you? A man my husband stated, so my dad told him he needs to get on the ball if he really loves his wife or eles keep it moving.I'll post later on what we decide because my head been pounding :bonk: all day and he's been :( all day. BOY (L) LOVE HURTS!!

  3. Good morning, I need to know how do I go about canceling my soon to be x husband petition, he has a blue slip interview coming up on 7/13 and I'm getting ready to call the Jm Embassy to cancel that appointment as well. I don't feel in my heart that's he's ready. When we 1st met the way he acts now he wasn't acting that way so I'm going to quick while I'm ahead. I have 2 sons that are why more mature than he is and I don't have time to baby sit no grown man. I have a business to run and 3 kids to raise and if your mind is not ready for it why press on and set yourself up for failure in the long run. I hope we could remine friends but as for this marriage it's over. He does not agree with it, but it is what it is. I can't and won't keep repeating myself, I have wasted to much time and money on this whole process and now you decide to show your true colors and question who I serve. I put no man before my God or my children. He's a nice person but just not right for me. His faimly is very disappointed in him and his actions but let another women deal with him in his bad behavior. I just hate for him to come over here and I have to put him out so why go through all the drama. Thanks in advance for you positive feedback.

  4. I'm sorry you had to go through that, they should have called everyone and told them about the new changes, We also have a blueslip but I called and reschedule because it takes a month to get another appointment,so if you know your going to be able to get a co-sponsor soon, call and reschedule now because you'll most likely get a blue slip interview in Aug, but I'm going to have my husband go down and get another police record just in case they come with some more bs. Everything will work out in due time... Happy that's all you need..

  5. Hello, yes he was there for 11 to 12 months, The police record will be ready next week and a new appointment has been set for July 13th, the phone rep said we could call once a week to see if they have an earlier appointment but I'm just going to wait it out, his friend in the Bahamas will pick it up and bring it to him on July 6, but if not I told him to have his friend send it by Fed-ex because I don't won't no mess when the 13th rolls around.

  6. Our blue slip appointment took one month from the time we called the number :(

Why I'm still here I'm going to call and get an blue slip appointment so we could be ahead just incase thay are backed up.

  7. Good afternoon, I'm currently in JA, I attended my husband interview on 6/4 He was approve pending verification of his police record from the Bahamas due to the fact he was there for 1 year. Now we are in the process of mailing the required documents to the Bahamas to obtain a copy of his police record and than we could call the JA US embassy to submit the docs. I want to know how far away does it take the embassy to give another appointment for a blue slip.Thank you in advance for your feedback....

  8. I have been talking to a friend of my fiance's and she said it is getting better. Please I know how this topic is and I'm not looking for an arguement with anyone. This is not me talking this is someone who is down there. She even said they re-opened the embassy for half a day and that there is much less gun shooting today. Just an update from someone on the island.

Mlbarb I spoke with my husband earlier and he stated that when he went on the road today he didn't hear or see any gun battle going on and he also stated that things have cool down a little, but here is the most up to date information that I have found from the US JM EMBASSY website hope this make you feel better.

    U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE

    Bureau of Consular Affairs

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This information is current as of today, Tue May 25 16:28:27 2010.

    Jamaica

    May 24, 2010

The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against travel to Kingston, Jamaica and its surrounding areas because of escalating violence, shootings and unrest. Jamaican Defense Forces are engaged in an operation to arrest an alleged drug and weapons trafficker. Access to the Norman Manley International Airport has been blocked on an intermittent basis by gun battles between criminal elements and police. A number of air flights into and out of Kingston have been canceled. The Government of Jamaica has imposed a State of Emergency in Kingston and St. Andrew. The possibility exists that unrest could spread beyond the general Kingston area. U.S. Embassy Kingston is taking extra security precautions, including cancelling official travel by USG personnel into Kingston. This Travel Alert replaces the Travel Alert issued on May 21, 2010 to warn U.S. citizens against travel to Kingston and to provide updated information on the security and airport situation. This Travel Alert expires on June 23, 2010.

U.S citizens presently in Jamaica should monitor local news and radio frequently before venturing out from their homes or hotels. U.S. citizens traveling to or from the Norman Manley International Airport should use the South Camp Road route. U.S. citizens should contact their air carriers regarding flight status before traveling to the airport. U.S. citizens are urged to exercise heightened security awareness and maintain a low profile during this State of Emergency. U.S. citizens in Jamaica are advised to monitor local news reports and consider the level of security present when venturing outside their residence or hotel.

U.S. citizens living and residing in Jamaica or the Cayman Islands are advised to register their presence in the country through the U.S. Department of State's automated online registration system, https://travelregistration.state.gov. U.S. citizens may also register by visiting the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy or our consular agencies in Montego Bay and Georgetown, Cayman Islands, during business hours.

Emergencies involving U.S. citizens can be reported by contacting the American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit of the U.S. Embassys Consular Section, located at 142 Old Hope Road in the Liguanea area of Kingston, telephone (876) 702-6450; after hours emergency telephone (876) 702-6000; Consular Section fax (876) 702-6018; and e-mail at KingstonACS@state.gov. The U.S. Consular Agency in Montego Bay has moved and is now located at Whitter Village, Ironshore, telephone (876) 953-0620. The U.S. Consular Agency in the Cayman Islands is located at 118 Dorcy Drive, Suite B-1, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, telephone (345) 945-8173.

U.S. citizens traveling abroad should regularly monitor the U.S. Embassys website at http://kingston.usembassy.gov and the U.S. Department of State's travel website at www.travel.state.gov, where the current Worldwide Caution Messages, Travel Warnings, and Travel Alerts can be found. The U.S. Embassy also encourages U.S. citizens to review "A Safe Trip Abroad," found at http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/safety/safety_1747.html, which includes valuable security information for living and/or traveling abroad. In addition to information on the Internet, travelers may obtain up-to-date information on security conditions by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the U.S. and Canada, or outside the U.S. and Canada on a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444.

  10. WHO'S SHOUTING, today is not the day for ppl and their nonsense, it seems that some ppl on this site take others post and/or comments and pull it out of context without sense of understanding what has been written. Ppl look for post and if they don't agree they become typomentive. Coming @ me in that matter is not going to settle what is really happening, so stick to the facts and the topic. I know no one on this site on a personal level, so don't address me as if your going to Insults My Intelligence with your snide remarks. :ot2:

  11. Tic tac toe?? Explain.

Until YOU have LIVED in the GHETTO, you DO NOT know what will and WON'T work. Where's BIN LADEN?

Do you HONESTLY think Jamaica would be BETTER off like another IRAQ? Or AFGHANISTAN???

THAT is what happens when the US moves in to dig out a fugitive. I'll pass.

STAY FOCUS ON WHAT'S HAPPENING,DON'T GET SIDE TRACKED, I'M NOT THE ONE TO TONGUE WRESTLE OR BRAIN WRESTLE, IT'S NOT WHERE YOU FROM BUT HOW YOU COME. HIS EYE IS STILL AND WILL ALWAYS BE ON THE SPARROW. SO NO NEED FOR ME TO ELABORATE ANY FUTHER!!!!!

  12. Please. If JAMAICAN forces can hardly get in Tivoli you expect the US to?????????

No way in hell the US should be trying that. Unless you want a Jamaican guerilla warfare outbreak.

I grew up in Dunkirk, so trust me I know how the garrison thing goes.

Bwaay, it nuh matta weh dem seh, nuhbaddy nah guh know if was REALLY him or not...mi mine tell mi a him dow...

Hence the word 'mysterious'....was being sarcastic...

Now is not the time for tic, tac, toe, my family is from St. Andrews so what are you saying, we are all concerned and praying for the people of Jamaica. The US has more power as far as troops and ammunition, and if they could dig Saddam Hussein out a hole what about Christopher Coke, aka "Dudus... For those of you following this here is a new update/link.

  13. Then that same prayer will work for the JA MP and army as it will work for the US army. The JA army is just as well equip as the US army. The country is not backwards, the Police and army in Ja is more than able to handle problems that arise on their soil with their country men.

No war goes without the innocent losing their lives, the men in TG would still have fought it out with the US army, just as they are fighting it out with

the JA army. It has never been said that the US have been able to bring peace without some type of casualty.

That's true to some degree, my husband and I are not worried because it's all a trick of the devil. For those that's reading this I don't know what your Spiritual Background is but if you want to agree, agree and believe in your heart that through the Blood of Jesus Christ The gates of hell shall not prevail. My husband and I are resting on "Psalms 91","Psalm 23".

  14. BMI, have you had this conversation with your husband, ^^^^, do he agree with you that the US shoulded have emerged on JA soil and that would have been the answer to the problem? Ha

Jamaican's are proud people and rightful so, they would like to solve their own problems, without the big guy pulling their weight. Just my obersavation of the beautiful people.

Proud or not if the JM police or troops can not capture 1 guy than why not have the US capture him. It does not make sense for innocent people to die on the count of someone eles greed. (James 4:6 ESV / 4

"But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

    Grace saves and Proud destroys!!!!

  15. He's dead.....he know's way too much!

Yes he does, have you ever watched American Gangster, it airs all the time and it talks about the Shower Posses. It's awful. The US should have sent their troops to JM to capture Coke and this non-sense will stop. Just My Thought.

I'm wondering if people whose interviews were scheduled for this week, but will be rescheduled due to the tension, will have to pay the higher price.

Does this fee increase apply to CR-1 visas as well.

  16. Kingston declares state of emergency Jamaica police under attack and streets barricaded by supporters of alleged druglord Christopher Dudus Coke. My husband say this is getting bad, but the side of town he resides on is not in the same area as the fighting. I just read online that 2 ppl was killed and 6 others injuried near the airport but flights has been coming in/out as schedule. I pray that God cover everyone thats not involved in this. I leave next week on the 3rd and I pray things are better or eles I'm going to have to reschedule, maybe the US EMBASSY will expediate the visa process and allow for them to be picked up the same day so the ones that has been granted visa could exit the country expeditiously.

There were no immediate reports of casualties Monday, but two police officers were killed and six others were wounded in a shooting late Sunday near Norman Manley International Airport outside Kingston, police said.

The airport's main entrance remained open, and flights were arriving and departing on schedule, said Paul Hall, senior vice president for operations at the Airports Authority of Jamaica.
