that is the number i called and do whatever the report a death a us citizen blah blah option cuz it goes right through to someone and and tell them you you think your passpost/visa has been lost. it took about about a 10 minute conversation of convincing the lady to look it up and she was just about to go to "training" and barely found it on her computer before she left. but everything mailed out comes by her first before it goes out. sorry this is late, good luck!

  2. We got it today! It turned out that is has been in her apartment office since the 8th, they could not find it the first time she checked but after spending time calling the embassy this morning to get the mail date and tracking number and looking it up and then calling the ####### out of her apartment build and making them look for it, It was found and is in her hands now. She will be doing POE next thursday and then staying the night in buffalo with her mom and flying out here the next day on friday the 23rd! so much stress has been lifted it is ridiculous.

Kayla- If you call the embassy and choose the option regarding a death of us citizen and what not, number 1 I believe, it takes you straight to an operator. Make sure you tell them first that you are concerned that your passport/visa has been lost in the mail and ask them to look up the mail date and they write down all the tracking numbers and can provide you with it. thats how we got ours. I wish you the best.

  5. Good news! I got in touch with the embassy and she gave me the mail out date which was the 7th of april and the tracking number too cuz they write them down! It was delivered to toronto post office the next day! we never got a slip for it and we are not sure which hub it is at so we are trying to figure that out.

  6. I hope we get ours this week. Seeing as how she had her ticket to move here for next week. Was not planning on having to wait so long to get it. I wonder why some get theres way early and some late. Especially cuz it is a 2 day envelope. There is always a possibility that it is in her apartment office and they forgot to notify her that it arrived, which they have done with other packages in the past. fingers crossed!

  7. My Fiance (Sarah) got approved today! she was one of the last to get interviewed and it seems it took like 2 minutes, they didn't even bother looking at half her stuff I guess. haha. I get the full details once she gets home tonight and we get to webcam!

Congrats to all you others that got approved today!

  8. My fiancee is waiting for her interview now at Montreal. Its in March, that is all we have left for now. I just moved A week ago though and want to know who I need to change my address with or if I even need to. I called USCIS and was told it did not matter since our case is not with them anymore. they told me to contact the Montreal Consulate to let the know. Well as everyone knows you can't call them or email them. Cuz they dont respond at all. My old address is on the paperwork she turned in on Packet 3. Should my fiancee just tell them the new address at the interview or bring updated paperwork? thanks.

  9. yes it is first come.

Thanks. one more thing we noticed on the packet 4 stuff that it mentions the visa fee. 131 dollars or something but then something about a $400 fee for canada filed petitions. Is that referring to the I-129f petition? and if so. since I am the one in the states who filed it does it not apply to us. Or is it the original filing fee? It confuses us. thanks.
