I cannot do an INFOPASS appointment because you have to be there in person. I live on the big island and my office is on a different island. Is there anyway I can talk to someone for USCIS on the phone?

What is an INFOPASS?
And what is an ROC? I don't know all the terms yet...

Our 90 day mark is coming up proceeding my expiration of my green card.
I have two questions:
1. can you send in your application early?
2. do they always ask you to do fingerprints? the reason I am asking is because I will be out of the country for 4 months. I will be in europe and it would be silly for me to come all the way back for a 10 minute finger printing session. Is there anyway around this? should I communicate this on my cover letter? Would it be possible to do fingerprints at an Embassy in Europe??
thanks.

Dear VJs,
Our AOS Interview is fast approaching and I'm wondering if I can solicit advice from those who had experience it.
By the way, to have a brief information, I entered US through K1 Visa, got married and filed AOS.
In terms of documents to prove residency, we've got the following:
1. Bank Joint Account
2. House Lease Agreement (we are sharing and renting accommodation with my in-laws, my in-law own the house)
3. Pictures
Are these documents will suffice?
*Cellphone Bill or any other house bill can't present cause it is on my in-laws name. Giving also in consideration that I've been here in US for almost 3 months so I can't purchase or credit anything.
*My husband got a temporary position at work, so he got no Medical Insurance so we can't also provide that document.
Any advice on what else we can provide at the moment?
Advice and help will be very appreciated.
Thanks.
Have a lot of evidence of your relationship. I brought some pictures and my interviewing officer said he was looking for one with both me, my husband and members from family. Good thing I had a few!
Also, they will ask you the basic questions like, when did you meet, when did you start dating, whos idea was it to get married, why did you married him/her, what are your occupations? Stuff like that. Make sure you bring copies of everything!!!! Be over prepared.

Does anyone know if you can leave the country if you do not have your green card yet, but have received the approval letter. Is it too risky to travel out of the u.s. and then get someone to mail your green card to you??
Me and my husband have one more day to get it in the mail, then we will have to cancel our trip.

Is there anyway you can ask to get your green card faster from the interview if approved?
Do they process the cards their or at a different location?
thanks.

Hi, I'm just wondering if you can travel directly after you receive your green card in the mail or is there a waiting period before you can leave the country?
Also, how long usually does it take to get the green card in the mail after your interview? My interview is in Honolulu.
Thanks.

If your sponsor is anyone other than your spouse, your spouse must also fill out the form even if s/he doesn't make enough to support you. It sounds like you are using someone else as your sponsor and gave them the info from that person but not from your spouse, so that is what they are sking for.
Do I have to send in the whole package again, including all the forms from our sponsor again?
Or just the I-864 filled out by my husband?

I received a letter in the mail requesting for Initial Evidence regarding the I-864.
I really need some help to understand what they are asking.
I submitted the I-864 from our sponsor...the same person that was the affidavit of support for my K-1 Visa.
All seemed fine there.
Now they are saying that the I-864 was submitted, but not from the petitioner/sponsor.
They are requesting a completed form from the petitioner/sponsor listed on Form 1-130 or Form 1-129F. Even if a joint sponsor will be used, the petitioner/sponsor must submit form I-864
Also, the letter said...The joint sponsor on Form I-865, Affidavit of Support must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. And with that they request evidence of the Joint sponsor's status.
I have no idea what this means....please help!!!
We only have one sponsor, is it possible they filled it out wrong? We don't have joint sponsor, so I don't understand that.
Thank you.

dr.cobble will not do it. Any other doctor's out there that will trancribe my immunizations to I-693...and sent them back to me???? why is this part so difficult? any leads would be so helpful. thanks.

I entered the U.S. on a K-1 Visa and now am applying for the green card. I just got my medical 3 months ago and just need my vaccinations transcribed by the civil surgeon. I called Dr.Arthur in Texas and they said that they don't do that anymore...starting on Dec 1st of 2009. Do you know of any other civil surgeons that could do that for a cheap price? I live in Hawaii and they are all asking me to come in a make an appointment even, to fill out paperwork...and it would cost between $250 and $400!! Are there any civil surgeons that can just fill out my paperwork for me????
Removal of Conditions for 2 year GC
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Posted
I am leaving on a work job one week after I can send in my application for the removal of conditions for my 2 year by marriage green card.
I know I will have to do fingerprints at some point. My dilemma is that I will will be oversees for that 4 month period pretty much as soon as I send in my application.
Does anyone know if I can petition to do my biometrics at a U.S. embassy abroad?
Thanks.
