  1. I've finally received my date for an interview at the embassy in Ireland, it will be on April 26th. As instructed when I received packet 3, I went and got the medical with one of the six listed doctors the embassy had, but the instructions that were issued with packet 4 only had 2 doctors listed, neither of which were the one that I used.

Are the embassy likely or even obliged to accept medicals from the previously listed doctors in the cases of applicants who received medical instructions with them listed?

Hi the doctor you took your medical with is just fine, just bring in your package 3 (incase they have an issue with it) with the list of approved docs on them, the embassy has recently renewed their contracts with the doctors and they have only a contract with 2 doc's in Ireland rather than the number they have previous. In my package 4 i got sent details for my medical, although i had also received them in my package 3 and done it then. Don't worry about it at all its just a matter of timing!

Good luck and you will be just fine!

  2. Hi, i am an Irish citizen married to USC. We are coming up to the interview stage of out CR1, just waiting on one last thing -co sponor affidavit to be sent and then send for my interview dat, Being the dublin embassy I doubt it will take longer than 1mnth for interview. My ubby has been here almost 2 years and we will be 2 years married in May. Don't see anything coming up to delay or stop our visa as we have nothing to hide no complications and nothing unusal. Thing is we seen really good deal online for one way flights and we plan to move in May but if wait to book till visa approved hopefully in March / April the prices will go up.... SO what do we do? Book flights now for end of May and hope all is ok?

  4. I just got my package 3 and the HPV and Zoster vaccine is still being asked for (it says so in the info i received) but they have been done away with!

How can I get around this? I have sent all the info by fax to the doc advising hiom of same, but shouldn't the embassy know that these are no longer needed and taking them off the list? hasn't it filtered to the embassies yet?!?!?

  6. Mine is expiring on April 16. You have to file the removal of conditional status 90 days before the expiration date. If got approved for the application for removal of conditional residency, that is when they will give me the 10 yrs greencard.

I see that tha also charge another $545 - The really do take you for as much as they can!

    Good Luck with it!!!

  7. When you receive the approval notice for your I-130, it will state there what visa category you will fall. CR-1 gets 2 yrs greencard and IR-1 gets 10 yrs. Me and my husband were already 22 months married when i got my visa and flew here in the US after 5 months (2 yrs and 3 months married) but they still gave me condional greencard and im about to file removal of conditional status next week.

    Hi,

So what is involved in filing for the removal of conditional status?

  8. Hi, My hubby (US citizen) and I (His Irish wife) are starting off with our visajourney, Just awaiting our i-130 approval, I have been told and reading that if you are 2years or more married when you enter the US with your visa (once approved) - even though approved for a CR1 - if you point out to the immigration official when you enter the US they will approve you for your green card without any conditions. Is this true? Just want to clarify as we are planning to move in June and we will be over 2 yrs married at that stage but prob not before the iinterview stage....

    thanks

  9. Hi, Just wondering if the HPV requirement has been done away with in the Dublin Embassy's DCF?

has it filtered through to the embassys yet? I rang to ask and all i was told was that you will have all the information I will need when I receive my Pakage 3!! I do not want to get it, not only for the $$$ sake but that i am not going to be forced to take a vaccine that not even the US citizens have to take themselves. If anyone had recently done their medical/interview with Dublins DCF please let me know. Thanks!

  10. Ok i know its been the Holiday season but how long did it take you all to go through the DCF in Dublin?

Hoping to move June, have ordered police certs & vaccination details and have all i can so far somewhat organised...
