You need to apply for the ACPO certificate.

If you know that you have so much as a caution on file somewhere, even if you were 10 at the time, you will also need a subject access/ court docs. etc.

So apply for your ACPO and if it comes back 'No Trace' you're fine. If it reads 'No Live Trace' take it from there.

However bear in mind that the certificate is only valid for 1 year at the time of interview, so ASAP is possibly an exaggeration. It used to take ages for a certificate but they fairly recently changed the system and it is specifically designed for visa applicants now - takes about 4 weeks. You are likely to get to interview before 1 year's up, though.

Hi All,

I was told my an attorney I should get my police records ordered ASAP. I am in the UK and I believe there is a link I should go to, to retrieve them - however I don't know where that is.

Does anyone have an idea? I looked on the guides, but nothing there?
