Thanks guys ... All I can say is that the process is so unpredictable. When I first received transfer notice to CSC in April, many people on VJ told me that it was a good thing, my process should be fairly easy and quick as transfer to California means "No Interview". I agree we did not need an interview but CSC is not good with responding to case status inquiry and they are so random.

Some of the filings from June and July were already approved in Nov but My March filing was still oustanding.

I actually contacted the local senator office for help on my case as well last week. I was expecting a call from her within a day or two regarding the status on my case and whats taking so long. We will see if i hear back from her with the reason of why it took so long..

Finally !!! We got an email from the USCIS that our case was approved and green card was sent out for production, we should expect to receive the green card in next 30 days !!!

Its been 8 months long painful wait ... We filed Form I-485 for my husband (he came here on K-1 visa) with the Vermont Service Center on March 26th and received a notice on April 27th that our case was transfered to California Service Center. Since then i have had multiple info pass appointment... I wrote a letter to the CSC but all with the same results " We will get back to you within 60-90 days with our decision." Finally my case was touched on Dec 29th and I saw hope.

Yesterday I got a surprise mail from USCIS that our case was approved and I should receive a green card in the mail soon. I checked the status online and it has been updated to "Card/Document Production"

I am sooooo Happyyyy !!!

My timeline is around the same time as yours. My fiance came to US on K-1 visa in Feburary 2010. We got married in March and we applied for the temp gren card. On April 20th our case was transfered to the california Service Center. He got his finger printing done in first week of may and then we started waiting. We did not hear back till October. We called the toll free number and everytime they said its being processed. WE wrote to the California department and they wrote back we will hear from them in 45 days. WE have not heard from then since. Oh and we also scheduled an appointment with the local service center and they put an inquiry for us. That also resulted in a response that said we are working on your application and you will hear back from us soon.

I am so worried. I don't know what to do either, to the case to process faster.

My case completed on dec 8 same as yours. good luck to us.

My case was aldo completed on December 6th , so i called them and asked for the date of the interview. They told me the interview date on January 6th.

I suggest calling them to ask the status of the case instead of waiting for snail mail

Now just the wait between now and then ... trying to get ready for the Interview process now... any suggestions people ???

I can answer your Q1 and what it means is...It is the payment website for NVC. This is the site where we go and pay the AOS fee of $70 for both parents and then also paying $400 IV Fee for each parent. This is where once the payment is made the status changes from "IN PROCESS" to "PAID" and then we will be able to print the DOCUMENT COVER SHEET (which has Bar Code and NVC Case Number) that goes along with I-864 and DS-230 documents. Once the case is in the "FINAL REVIEW" status the Login Fails to this site and this means that the CASE at NVC will get complete in a day or two after the login fails. I know this is for parents cases and other similar cases and not sure about your case.

Couple of questions on my mind -

1) What exactly is this AVR Login ?? People seem to get excited when it fails , can anyone let me know how that works ?

2) How do I check the status of my case from now on till i receive the 4th packet / interview letter ?

3) When should i expect my finace's interview.. how long does it take after they recieve checklist and DS230 ?

Yesterday, I sent an email to the New Delhi Embassy website stating that their December 2009 list has not been updated. Here it was, December 3rd, and they still had November 2009. The website has always said they will updated by the middle of the previous month for the next month's interviews . So this morning, when I checked, December 2009 showed. So if you have an interview this month, you can now verify

I finally confirmed with Embassy officer that they have received my DS230 on December 4th 2009. How long do you think it should take for the interview date ?
