If you want to use your new married name, then simply fill out the paperwork for the AOS process with your new married name. If you don't, your cards will come with your maiden name on them. There is a line on the I485 that asks for names previously used and this is where you would put your maiden name(so it matches your passport I94 etc).
Thank you for your answer, that really makes sense!

Hello!
I got to US on F-1, and got married!!! Now I'm confused about filing and the name change, does the marrriage lisence change my name automatically where when I file for AOS I can just put my husband's name on the form itself??? so when the green card comes it will be with his name. OR I put my maiden name (the name on the visa and i-94) and then they change my name for me on the green card themselves??? Please help me with that, I know it's probably not a big deal, but it's important...
Thank you.
oops... it was k-1 i came here on.

I highly doubt it is a problem. You visa entry and exit stamps to show you left.
Thank you for your answer. Everything turned out ok, I did have to sit in the office though, my departure was not recorded correctly, I was still in US in their system... But I was fine, thank God~!!!! Super happy

Hello! This is my first time writing on here, though I've collected a lot of useful info from this site, and I think if it wasn't for some advises given here, I would still be waiting... I have been in AP for quite some time, but I finally got my visa, I'm estatic, it's a miracle!!! I have one little question about entering US, when I was there last time and traveled back to my country I didn't turn in my I-94 when I departed; will I face any problems at the port of entry. My visa is K1. I would really appreciate your answers

Hello everyone! My story:
I came here on fiance visa, filed for AOS (didn't need to marry because we had a double proxy marriage), USCIS is not a very orginized organization... they didn't study our case thoughroghly and made a mistake!!! (yes! they make mistakes) and they denied me... ( I was totaly bummed, because we filed everything corectly, I knew I had to file I-129b to appeal but I was so discouraged.. what if they deny again??! I contacted the local congressman and filed the motion, with their help and my thoughrogh explanation to the USCIS about THEIR mistake, my greencard was in the mail within days!!! with NO interview or additional evidence needed!!! I'm amazed that they acted so quickly!
So my question now is: does anyone know how to get the money back for this motion (that cost me another $600 to reopen the case, I pretty much paid for their mistake)?
I would really appreciate any answers
