  1. I seem to be at the end of my wits in here so please, please, please tell me we're not the only one in this but here's our scenario.

I filed for our i-129f on January 2012 and then on May 2012, I got an RFE stating that I missed checking one box, which is weird because I made a copy of the documents I sent and I checked it and I DID check the box in question. Anyway, I completed the RFE and returned back to USCIS, which they posted to having received on the end of May. It's been pending ever since. They initially said they would have an answer by 60 days of which came and go with nothing. I called the 1800-number and got an email stating that they would have an answer by 30 days... of which came again, but alas, nothing. I called the 1800-again and they said they can't do anything since they already processed a request before and suggested I email the Vermont office, which I did... and the officer just told me that they are backlogged and working on i-130 and they have no idea on when they will get back to the RFE. I even emailed the head USCIS, which went back to the same answer from Vermont. I reached out to my congressman, who diligently requested an update on my behalf but *STILL* got the same answer. It's already October and it's been 9 months. Is it just bad luck or what? Any encouragement or tips or anything really would help my sanity right now.

    Thank you.

    Hi there!

We had the same situation when we send my application for citizenship they send my application back stating that We missed to filled out the address part. And same as yours we did filled out everything. So we resend it back and called the USCIS. We also contacted our US Senator in Hawaii regarding the application. Since then my papers moving and I received an email that they got my application and gave me a new case number. I suggest to keep calling the USCIS and asked help from your State Senator. Hope it helps.

  2. So I got my interview date in the mail on Friday and it is set for July 23rd, it was a bitter sweet thing as it is nice to know I am moving forward but also that I am terrified of the interview.

What is the minnimum you need for this?

    I have

    marriage license

copy of car isurance with both our names

    bank accounts with both names

will try and get added to cable and water/power etc account

We are unable to add me to the mortgage as it was a special one and will cost more if we do, do you think that will matter?

Will get a bunch of photo's from things we have done since I have been here.

Copy of contracts for wedding reception as we are having ours in Sept.

Any suggestions to make this a painless interview?

    Jason

    my suggestions are:

life, insurance, health insurance, letters that address to you or to you both in the same addres where you live right now. A letter from a neighbor or close friend addressing the Immigration that your relationship are true. about the mortgage, its okay if you're still not in that documents.I think.

    Goodluck!:):star:

  3. That is awesome! thanks for sharing your experienced... We're going to have interview next wednesday which is June 23, 2010. Hoping that, it will be successful. :star:

My husband, son and I went to our interview at Civic Center, Santa Ana, Ca. yesterday for our scheduled initial interview. Our slot was at 9:30am. We got there 20 minutes before then. There were a few applicants already and we (applicants) were all dressed casually. But of course, if you feel like dressing up for the interview ,then why not. Anyways, our names were called in less than 20 minutes. Our ISO was definitely younger looking. Younger than us for sure, haha. She led us to her office and told my son to just sit at the back because she need not ask him anything since he's still a minor. So, my husband and I sat in front and took our oaths. She asked to see all our passports. Then proceeded to ask me a list of questions from Part 3 of the I-485 form. Other questions were:

What my husband did in the Philippines?

    How we met?

If I entered the US before? On what visa?

Where is the biological father of my son?

How did my mom and 2 sisters enter the US before becoming US citizens?

Why my dad chose to stay in the Philippines?

She asked to see if we were both wearing our wedding rings?

Then she asked if I can show her any proof of co-habitation or relationship. I told her ever since I got my EAD card just this January, I applied for my SSN and up until now Social Security has been trying to verify my card but they said it does not want to clear. So I can't really move until I am issued my SSN. I only have our Cellphone Family Plan And Family Health insurance to show for. I also handed her my son's original school registration, a letter from my husbands mom stating that we are currently residing with her. Receipt of our wedding and I said I brought photos as well. And she looked at them and said it was good that I labeled the photos. Then she closed my file and browsed through my son's file. Unfortunately, St. Luke's Medical in Manila forgot to put my son's TB test result. (Of course, I will post this heads up at the K1 forum- Philippines) I said, we both took the TB test and were both found negative that is why we were able to get to where we are now. She said she will ask her supervisor first and be right back.

After awhile she came back and said everything seems to be okay but they just need my son's TB test result. So, she gave me a certain form that states we could come back the same day to submit the result. She said once she gets the result from the doctor, she will process our papers and expect our Green Cards in 2 weeks time. Wow! That's it. I never thought I would say this but, I actually enjoyed the interview. I was thinking I would be interrogated or something but my husband and I both thought the interview went really smooth.

We were able to go back and submit my son's TB test result around 12 noon. Good thing my son's school asked for a TB test done here and fortunately, I had it done with the same civil surgeon that did our I-693.

FYI - She got my EAD card and both our I-94s.

I would like to thank everyone for this because reading other peoples experiences armed us of what to bring and expect yesterday. Thank you again and I hope my post helps.

    Cheers everyone!!!

    :)

  4. No I am not getting 221(g) I dont think that is how i call it.

Like what you have read I have my interview last may 21 and when i was in my final interview the consul told me to wait for my name to be called outside and they are going to tell me what a lacking document/s i am going to submit and how to pass it. So when my name was called again the filipino guy told me nothing to worry because they only need my nbi clearance with aka because my middle name in nso birth was a wrong one but i got it corrected before I applied to get my passport. What they want me to do is they want me to get the wrong middle name in nbi office. I got it and went back to the embassy last may 26 and they said they will review my papers and thats it. Anyway last may 21 they told me to go to air21 and registered so i did and have a tracking number but i dont know now coz it is 8 days since i have submitted my nbi with aka and still got nothing (am counting saturdays and sundays).

Hi, regarding to your question about the period of time that I' d waited for my visa to be on hand. It took 2 weeks for me to get my visa.dont worry, as the Filipino interviewer told you, that's not a big problem. I know in 2 to 3 weeks you're gonna have it.:)

  5. hmmm... thats interesting topic. Neither I, didn't get any RFE.and don't have any plan to have another shot.(it was written to my vaccination record too that its "incomplete". anyway it says there "unless it was submitted" I think it was included in the envelop that I was carried and gave to the immigration at the time of my Port of Entry.

Thank you for all the reply :)

I told my husband not to get the I-693 but he said it's better to be sure than another delayed :D

So, we went to a CS and she agreed to transcribe my vaccination record, but she said i need 1 more shot for Td because on my DS-3025 it shows incomplete.

    Mahalo :)

  6. That is awesome! me too:) I got the same info from USCIS.way to go!:dance::dance:

  7. hi! I've been in Baguio with my mom, dad, aunt, uncle and my fiance. It was August 2009. I would say to find an apartment. because it has kitchen, utensils, ref, and gas range that you can cook. thats what we did. we save money. if you are interested to a place were we rented I can give you the owners info. It was P 4,000 a night good for 8-10 people. the place is quite. We enjoy our stay in that apartment.

  9. My fiancee was sent away from her interview to get an NBI Clearance with AKA because she was once married. She went and got one and it does have her old married name on it, but it dosen't say AKA anywhere. Is it suppose to? If anyone could clear this up I would appreciate it. Thanks!

  10. hello everyone,

I had interview on Dec. 14, 2009. the consul told me that everything is fine except my NBI. In the end of my interview the consul said " Enjoy living in Hawaii!" so I believe its a possitive sign for me. after my interview I was called to window 37 and gave me the white slip with check on the NBI which I need to provide. and returned my passport. At first, I felt sad because I thought I brought everything that they need but i'm wrong. and sad because me and my fiance planned to be together this new year.(we are still hoping though) I know that God Has a plan why it happened to us. Im not really down for that. I believe I'm going to get the visa soon. Guys, I think not everyone who get back the passport means denied. for my case, they gave it back to me for me to get the NBI. Be possitive and patient if you're in the same situation, everythings gonna be okay. Plus, Dont forget to ask help from God. anyway, On Dec. 16 I past the NBI and told me to wait until they send the visa.

    Merry Christmas Everyone. :innocent:

  11. Good days to all of u here...i need help and suggestions regarding of my problem of my birth certificate

my parents were not married and the time i am born i used my mother's surname but when i entered schooling i already used my father's surname, my credentials in school and all the ID's i have are all with my fathers family name...............because my father file for Certificate of Acknowledgement last year 2006 stating that me is his daughter..i am a illigitimate child stating my birth certificate..i went already the municipal registrar with my father last year 2006 my father file for certificate of Acknowledgement..it is state there of my new record the remarks "The surname of the child is hereby changed from "Tambis" to "Regodo".But when i got NSO again last year 2008 it doesn't change my lastname still state there of my mother surname...what should i do?please i need help....

And i found other problem of my live birth is the gender it is written male in my NSO..that gender written a male it need correction that i am a female..i can't get passport..

And how long it wil take for both problem of my surname and gender to process?and how much it cost?

    Hi! Nes,

I am sorry about your situation. you should go to the main office of the nso and ask about your situation. do it as soon as possible, because it will takes time. Goodluck!

  12. So here's the case, my dad was co-sponsoring my brother's eventual k-1 visa. But it was sent back by the Guangzhou Consulate to USCIS. Then USCIS denied approval. My brother and his fiancee got into a big argument involving the parents and broke it off. I can say it was very ugly, even though it was over the phone. VERY UGLY. Now, I'm engaged and finally submitted my I-129F in September. My dad is gonna co-sponsor when it comes time since I'm a student (rough patch in the economy). Since my dad submitted a co-sponsor for my Bro's k-1 process, do we (me, my dad, and my bro) need to do anything for the previously denied I-129F? I'm thinking we don't since the co-sponsor is more of the NVC or consulate concern. And my bro's eventually got denied at the USCIS part.

hi! I;m sorry about your brother, It will really affect to you if your fathers income is below 20 thou. as I have heard from others. but you said it was sent to the Guanzhou consulate so it means your brother got the NOA 2, which means he passed. did his fiancee had interview from Guangzhou consulate? if she did, probably, the problem is not with your brothet but with the girl.

My fiancee had her interview today (1 Dec). The interview went well. It was just as everyone on here had explained: stand in line....wait....pre-screener asks for documents....waiting....the counselor was very nice and friendly. He only asked a few questions. However, she did not get the PINK because we are still waiting for her Japanese police clearance. The counselor said "There are no problems. You have 90 days to marry once you arrive. Just bring in the police clearance when you get it." She got the white paper. We are happy it went well....but still waiting.
