Had our interview. And went well. TodAy we recieved letter of welcome to the USA. We were approved.
-
Like I said on my post. They did not ask, and we didnt lie. But after interview, is it usual for them to contact family members?
-
they never asked anything about inlaws, and we never lied in the interview, and it wouldnt be a problem if they found out, but we are waiting to get married by the church on october so they find out about our marriage. any ways we never put any address in the forms or phone numbers for inlaws.. so

I filed in april and I already got my EAD and already had the interview last day which went awesome. Thing is my wifes parents are not aware of our marriage. Does immigration contact parents to after interviews to verify a bona fide marriage? They didnt ask for their addresses or their phone numbers or anything but i am wondering if this happens often.
thanks

EAD card production ordered! I hope to receive it in 10 days.
Crossing my fingers for the interview letter to arrive by the end of the month.
Don't they have to order production three times? and by the third time it takes 4 days to recive it

For all those of you getting EADs when what was the date to be allowed to start working. Say if you recieved it on June 1st... the date said JUNE 1st as first day to be able to work or did it say like JULY or maybe MARCH or what?
-
You don't need to submit I-864 again. You have to bring it to the interview only if you didn't prepare the I-864 with the 2009 tax returns. I believe that's what it says in the interview letter ('unless already submitted').
For what dates did you recieve your EAD???? I'm curious about starting dates... did they date it days after you recieved it to start working???? do you need to wait some more or did they date the Starting date befooore you recieve it?
Thanks
-
Yay! They mailed my EAD to me today!!!
Congrats!!! ready to work now!!!
is there any advantage in doing that expedited thing if I already recieved my interview letter??? or should I just wait now, would it speed the process?
is there any instructions where i can see what steps to follow to fill the EAD expedited?
Thanks
-
How long does it usually take after we recieve Interview letter to get the EAD?
-
Way to go alla! Uhm just wondering. What sort of reasons do you need for them to approve your expedited EAD? Because im considering of having it also expedited.
what does it mean to have your EAD expedited?

Got finally my interview letter

Hey, guys~
I've been busy for past few days so couldn't check on you guys.
Guess what?
I received the interview letter today~. Yay!!
It'll be on June 16.
I'm praying for all of you guys so try not to panic and stick together as we have done so far.
If everything goes as this... when do you guys think we will get our EAD for guys that filled first day of APRIL. I can't wait
-
I'm just waiting for interview letter. If everything goes as with other members I should be recieving it next week
-

Actually I've already recieved my NOAs and Biometric letter in a very timely manner. And I signed in the My Case Status
on uscis website for e-mail alerts (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp) using the MSCs receipts number on my NOAs as soon as i got them. But I have never recieved anything on my e-mail. Is something wrong or what?
I think it would be nice to see what is going on, other than that my AOS is going fast as with every April 2010 filer.
thanks
-
Today (friday) I got appt letter for biometrics and want to go tomorrow saturday (early walk - in). Are they open? do you know at what time they open regularly? cuz if i can't go saturday, then i want to know what time i should go earliest on monday.
thanks!

Anyone knows what they do with his info? if they check the IRS or something to see if he is evading taxes or anything else??? do sponsors get scrutinized at all???
Thanks for the info
-
I asked a friend for sponsorship and says yes but he is a little worried because got convicted a few years ago. Basically this is what he answered to my request on the e mail:
Quote from e-mail:
I just want to make sure of what will be required - you only need to have a copy of my greencard, the W-2's and tax returns for the last three years? I am a little bit hesitant because I have a conviction for possession of pot from 20 years ago, and I don't want the government to look into it. Drug possession charges for immigrants are really bad in the US unfortunately. I'm trying to get my citizenship so I don't have to worry about it anymore. So I guess I need to know what how my helping you might affect that - do you know what they might do with my info? Is it just for reference, and do they need to talk to me at all? Let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Hopefully I'll see you soon at Jose's place - I told him most weekends are fine for me so maybe there will be a party soon.
Take care,
Will he get in trouble? Will they look into it? Will he need to talk to them?
Thanks for the help

Those three are all the same thing, so it looks like they just need a photocopy of both sides of it.
thank you very much
-
Proof of permanent resident status includes a photocopy ofboth sides of the "green card," Form I-551, Alien RegistrationReceipt Card/Permanent Resident Card
I thought the "green card" and the form I-551 where kind of like the same thing. So from what I understand he needs those three things:
1 copy of green card
2 form I-551
3 Permanent resident card
or are they all the same thing??? confused as to what request to my permanent resident joint sponsor.
