  1. He never was put on the lease bc I had gotten the place. He was working in Canada at the time and it was even before we were married. We didn't think of anything of it bc we want a house. From what the letter we received said it was basically prooving address for both of us.

We have been together for 7 years and married 3. So I guess we just need more evidence prooving that. I just thought it was of the 3 years but we have stuff we can go back and send as well. I would hope if we sent more evidence in we would be ok.

We live in NH and only have federal tax returns. We deal with the VT service center but have an office in Manchester, NH that we go to.

  2. I am so glad we joined this bc we are stressed! My husband and I filed for I751 and received a letter last week to submit more evidence that we have a bona fide marriage.

We submitted: joint tax returns, life insurance policy, some pictures, travel receipts and joint bank account statements and 2 affidavits.

So what now? My husband is a student and I am on everything we own pretty much. I am a veterinarian so my income is what we use currently.

We are trying to get him on our lease and that is becoming a problem.

We have 5 more people writing affidavits, have gotten a ton of pictures together from before when we dated til now a course of 7 years worth. Such a change in what we look like is too funny what married life does to you. Plus more receipts, an amazon account, anniversary cards and wedding invitations with both our name and address on them with post marks. Now do we send all this bc we really have nothing else.

Plus we thought if we wrote a joint letter? They would know in 2 seconds of an interview that we were married. What more should we do, we have til Dec 17th or actually before that bc it is due then. Does it look bad to try and add him to things now? Thanks for the thoughts!
