On your SIF don't wait for the AVRS to update. It is always delayed and is of little use. As mentioned, call and speak to a NVC operator and ask if case is completed and if so ask if interview is scheduled yet.

Hi, I suspect that medicine would in most cases be far cheaper in Philippines. I don't believe there is any issue with shipping unless the medication is a liquid.

You should see airport in Butuan City now, You wont recognise it. They have done a lot of improvements
