  3. Thanks, kittens_0117 :) I just came back from post office, finally mailed my I-751 package. Hope The VSC will get it tomorrow.

    Good luck to us! :)

I didn't send affirmation letters or affidavits on my packet, but I think the letter should have wording from family and friends that they know you, and that you and your spouse reside in the same address -- basically proof of cohabitation from a 3rd party. Some people submit formal, notarized affidavits. I just didn't want to go that route just yet, unless they ask for an RFE. I just believed what we have is enough proof (e.g. joint tax returns, joint bank statements, joint apartment leases, joint car loan/insurance/title, joint health insurance -- anything "joint"). tongue_ss.gif

    Good luck!

  4. The following are my very detailed interview review at the Guangzhou/China Consulate on Monday June 21, 2010.

I reached the Guangzhou Consulate around 07:00am on June 21, 2010. Stood in the line for 07:30 Immigrant, and, the security checked our passports and Appointment Letters around 08:00am, then I got into to the Consulate at 08:10am.

The Consulate is in the 5th floor, after the security guard checked my passport and Appointment Letter, I entered the waiting room for interview.

At 09:00am, all of us done the oath.

At 09:17am, I was called for the pre-screener. She was a very young Chinese lady, very professional:

-- May I have your passport, please?

-- May I have your two passport-style photos, please?

-- Open your Medical Exam Sealed Envelope, please

-- Sign in here in your DS-230 Part II, please

-- Please give me your Notarial Certificate of Birth, Marriage, and, Not Being Given Criminal Sanction

    -- Who does petition you?

-- What is your husband’s name?

-- What does he live for?

-- Did he sponsor you alone or joint it with others?

-- Please give me your husband’s three years’ Federal Tax Returns plus W2s (then she returned me my hubby’s 2006 W2 and Employment Letter)

-- Did you go to abroad?

-- Have you resided for more than 6 months in any other countries except China?

-- You earned your MAs in Sweden, right? How long did you live there, exactly? (then she focused on to count the exact days I stayed in Sweden)

-- In what occupation do you intend to work in the States?

-- Ok, everything looked good, and it is your number, please go back, wait for the biometric fingerprinting and interview. Thank you!

Then I waited, at 10:00am, I was called for the biometric fingerprinting.

Finally, I got called at 11:50am. The Consular Officer was a very nice American lady, at her 50s. Then there was a less than 1 minute conversation between us:

    -- Good morning!

    -- Good morning!

-- May I have your Passport, please?

    - Sure

-- Where did you meet E? (She called my hubby’s first name, not asked ”Where did you meet your husband?”)

    -- xx

-- How many times did E visit you in person?

-- xx times, he wrote a letter explain that, would you mind read it? (She did not response)

-- When did you get married?

    -- mm-dd-yyyy

-- How long did he stay then?

    -- xx days

-- Did you get married before?

-- No, neither me nor my hubby. It is our first marriage, both of us

-- Did you have any children?

    -- No

-- What does he live for?

    -- HT

--What is HT? What is it exactly?

    -- XXXXXX

-- You earn your MAs in Europe?

    - Yep

    -- What are your majors?

    -- xx

-- Please show me E's Explain Letter

-- Well, here it is. (Then I said)My husband is pretty busy, he only has 7 hours vacation per month. (She replied)Yes, I do understand it

-- Are you a CCP Member?

    -- No

-- Mrs. B, your visa is approved, congratulations!

-- Thank you, it is prefect! Have a very nice day!

-- Thank you! Have a nice day as well (then she gave me a big smile)

I responded quickly, with short, precise answer to each question. What I surprised was I brought 10lbs evidence for the interview, but the CO did not ask to look at one of them.

I was out by 11:52am, then called hubby to tell him the great news.

Thanks again to VJ, and all of the wonderful VJers, thank you for all of your help, support and good wishes! Especially Darnell, thank you so very much!

MSP, I'm happy to see you're back with us, too.

Yes, Ma'am. Husby had a copy of every document we ever sent or received during this process. He actually forgot it at home and had to turn around to get them. Of course, they weren't used, but we both have the idea of "better safe than sorry."
