  1. Wow... Reven, Im so sorry to hear all of this. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially ones like all of us who have been through this journey and paid our dues. I think a complaint is in order for sure. I know you don't want to "rock the boat", however, maybe look at it as if you are saving another innocent person from this abuse. My hubby (Ian) also says to tell your hubby hello and go get 'em!!! Good luck!

  2. My husband visited almost once amonth and had no problems. He made sure he had his ties to Canada (lease agreement, teaching schedule and return flight ticket). He did have one minor mishap...he came for 3 months last summer and they questioned him and pulled him in the "questioning" room and he did miss his flight...but he got here! You should have no problem as long as the POE is having a good day!!

  3. My husband had his POE in Edmonton this morning!! He said it went very smooth with absolutely no hassle and was in and out of there in 30 minutes. They took his Visa (passport), sealed envelope from NVC and took his fingerprints as well. They stamped his Visa to use as his temporary greencard and said "Welcome...You're In"!! He said the were extremely nice and he is on his way as we speak!! Can't wait to see him tonight!!! I'm a happy happy girl...

  4. Awesome, maybe we can meet up sometime. I am thankful that the business address works because I don't want these important documents to be lost in the Canada Post network of delivery stations.

Oh I know! You should be fine with that. My husbands interview was on a Tuesday and got his Visa that Friday. Pretty quick. Yes, we would love to meet up sometime...always nice to meet people that are going through the same thing. Keep in touch.

  5. You have already paid all the fees, so when you go to your interview there are no fees to pay for CR-1/IR-1. I remember wondering the same thing and was happy to know my fees were paid by the time the interview came around!!

  6. My husband will be doing his POE May 11th in Detroit, however, when he leaves Edmonton, Canada he will go through US Customs there at the Edmonton airport. When he arrives in Detroit, does anyone know what or where he is to go when he gets into the airport? Im kinda confused because he goes through US Customs in Canada before he leaves. Any help or experiences would be great!! Thanks.

  7. Excellent. I really don't want the package getting lost in any way. Going to where my fiance' works seems like the best idea! Thanks.

Your very welcome! That is one question I "do" know the answer to. LOL See your from Battle Creek...Im not too far from you...we live about 20 min West of Jackson. We can be VJ neighbors! Good luck with everything!!!!

  8. My husbands Visa came today!!! YEAH US! It only took 3 days...we are both 2 happy campers. Now we are looking forward to our POE on May 11th. Kinda feels nice to buy a "one-way" ticket! :D

  9. My husband had his interview this past Tuesday and specifically asked the lady if he could write his work address on the Expresspost envelope. She said that was no problem. He wanted to have it delivered there because he spends more time there than at home and wanted to make sure he got it! So you should have no problems.

  10. Congrats!! I heard all about the snow and cold!! Ian was at the doors by 6:15am wondering why he ever listened to his lovely wife to get there early! I bet he's not complaining now!! :P LOL Glad to hear it all went smoothly for you...good luck with the baby on the way and a safe a uneventful POE.

  11. Thank you all for your well wishes. It feels like all the worry and uncertainty just melted away in seconds. Thanks to all the VJ members for your support and advice, I really don't think I could have done it without you.
