Some of the websites do not allow you to purchase tickets where the originating country is non-US. Where is her destination?

I am about to book my mother's ticket today but PAL website online is expensive for one way. She needs to come to the USA this coming Dec 17th. Anyone here personally used cheap online tickets aside from Expedia, Cheap air, Hotwire, Travelocity?

My mother who is 73 yo had her interview yesterday at the US Embassy in Manila Philippines. Her interview went well. However, she was asked if she has with her the Notice of Approval for an extension of stay last 2007 her first visit in the USA. Apparently, it wasn't with her. My 2 sisters helped her out finding it on her file in her home and all that they were able to locate is the Receipt with WAC___________ proving that she paid it for the amount of $300.00. Originally her stay was only 6mos given by the Los Angeles Port of Entry from June 1, 2007 - November 30, 2007. She carries a multiple entry visa by the way. Month of August 2007, we applied for an extension of stay and dated October 4, 2007 we received the NOA from USCIS for another 6 months (total of stay is 1 year). She left USA May 28, 2008. I created a user name and password on USCIS website to check the status of her case by creating a portfolio entering her receipt number that starts with WAC. When i logged on back again last night to see whether I would be able to retrieve and print the NOA for extension of stay, it doesnt show up anymore. Instead, all that is showing up is the POST DECISION ACTIVITY...

On October 4, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved your I539 APPLICATION TO EXTEND OR CHANGE NONIMMIGRANT STATUS.............

I printed this out and my sisters has a copy of this attaching the receipt payment that my mother has with her on her hand. She was told by the Window representative at the US Emb in Manila Philippines to come back tomorrow at 1pm and provide a copy of the NOA. Again, these are the only documents she has pertaining her approval of extension of stay. Do you think this is enough for them to accept it and be given a visa? If yes, how much longer is the waiting time for her to receive her visa? She was actually told too by this representative in one Window to proceed to Air 21 for her to provide her information which she did. She received hours later from Air 21 a message telling her the tracking number and her MNL case number at the same time. Is this just an SOP from Air 21 once information has been entered?

Hi, my mother had her medical exam done at St. Lukes Med Center (Philippines) last week and praise God everything went well and all her paperwork and passport will be turned over to the US Embassy in Manila. She will have her interview sched come November 23rd. When she had her medical exam at St. Lukes, she had with her print out copy of her appointment letter which the NVC sent to me via email as attachment. St. Lukes acknowledged it but the lady told her to make sure that the original appointment letter is with her on the day of her interview. I checked US Embassy in the Phils website re prepartion for interview and was stated in there that the original appointment letter should be brought by the applicant. As of today per my mother, she has not received anything from the NVC hoping that they sent to her the original appointment letter.

I and my mother are worried about her original appointment letter since her interview date is pretty close. Whoever already is done with their interview at the US Embassy in the Philippines, did the security office really in need and would ask for the original appointment letter? will the print out appointment letter that NVC sent to me via email attachment is fine and acceptable then?

i understand how u feel Clav...but remember patience is virtue...it sux sometimes but that's life i guess....remember i told u on my previous email, you might be included in December?......im positive...time flies so fast so cheer up....continue to lift it up to the Lord and in HIS TIME IT WILL BE DONE!

Hey maui, tks gurl for the inputs! I tried calling st. Lukes yesterday and soooo busy line.....I was reading their website for the step procedure...what kind of vaccine shots did u had from them? Did they nortify u re ur med exam result? I know they will send it directly to the embassy but either way, did they notify u or did u contact them? What time is the best time to come to st. Lukes? Tks a lot

Hey Clav, will do ok? They will still continue to schedule till Oct 21st...keep us posted! U better speak to the live representative cuz their auto computerized system isn't updated yet cuz I tried calling the NVC to listen to it though I know my mom's appointment date already since they sent me an email for that matter....

i just showed them my NVC case number before but since ur mom has her appointment letter already she needs to bring it to St.Lukes... just the appointment email for interview and no need to set a medical appointment at St. Lukes, she can go there anytime

So since i received the appointment letter from the NVC via email this morning, can my mother bring that print-out letter or US Embassy in the Phils and St. Lukes require the original appointment letter? Who is going to receive the original appointment letter that NVC sent to me via email, myself or directly my mother to the Philippines?

How much is the medical exam fee? Do you have the contact number of ST. Lukes?

i dont think she can go straight to St. Lukes without the appointment letter...they will require that the moment she get in there....

already on nov.24th... email letter will come after 5days... i cant get through NVC today and we'll try calling tomorrow!

HI GUYS, IVE BEEN TRYING TO CALL NVC THIS MORNING AS USUAL BUT CANT GET THROUGH...HOWEVER, I GOT AN EMAIL ALERT FROM MY DROID FONE THIS MORNING AND HURRAHHH FROM NVC....I OPENED IT THRU MY LAPTOP RIGHT AWAY CUZ THE ATTACHMENT WAS PDF FILE....I FORWARDED IT TO MY SISTER TO THE PHILIPPINES AND MY MOM GOT HER INTERVIEW DATE ON NOVEMBER 23 @ 8:30 am....i havent browsed all the pages yet if the St. Lukes Med Appointment is there or not....but just in case, where and how can my mom receive her Medical Appointment ?

You know its hard to contact the NVC if you intend to talk to a live representative...phone is sizzling hot and hard to get through the line. But with continuous persistence, I was able to talk to the guy and was told to call on October 21st cuz thats the day they completed the interview scheduling for the month of November. But heck, i will call everyday no matter what! That's the spirit...positive spirit!

Hi, i wish i have a crystal ball and tell everyone here about their respective case status etc...I wish God could whisper to me and tell me all of these things but it is impossible! Only God is the King and knows all the answer!

Since you are asking me about my personal view, I am afraid to say this but i doubt it...either December of January of 2011 possibly but not November....But let me know too if you make it to November....I will be praying for each and everyone here and lift it up to the Lord!

Finally was able to get through with the live NVC rep this afternoon....man , geeze he said call again next week cuz that's the week they will start scheduling for interview for the month of November....I'm praying to God that my mother will be part of the november appointment.....

It says to wait 8 weeks, and you're freaking out after 10 days. Relax, and give it some time. There are other people in line ahead of you.

Correction, who is freaking out? im not. i was just confused...ive been into this process for my I-130 IR1 visa type many years ago and i know for a fact that my journey before is totally different to my mother's journey since she falls into category for F4 visa type...I am relaxed, continuously praying to the Lord and will never quit for I have faith in HIM! 10 days? her paperwork has been completed last August 26th and not September 26th ...get it? Thanks for the effort of inputing your thoughts...totally appreciated it!

My mother's paperwork (immigrant visa) from NVC has been completed last August 26, 2010. I call NVC everyday thru their auto computerized system and still to date, no appointment sched for medical and interview has been set yet...I know it says wait for 8wks but does it really need to be 8wks? am i looking here sometime November 2010? thanks guys...i would appreciate any inputs you would share......im so confused....i thought by this month (october),her appointment medical and interview will be released by the NVC...

I am my Mother's agent (F4 petition - bro to sister)... I am working on her DS230 right now and awaiting for her couple of docs that I need to add onto her checklist. My ques are:

1. Aside from the bar code to be included on the checklist, it says all the documents should have the case number on the upper right corner of each documents. Just the case number or do i have to include her name as well?

2. Say, I sent it to the NVC via FEDEX come July, how long does it take for me to wait for the NVC next and what comes next that I would be hearing from them?

3. anyone knows this phone number where we could verify and check the interview schedule? I remember way back when my husband was processing my IR1 petition, I kept calling this number and was able to find out ahead before they mailed the actual notice/letter to my husband regarding my interview and medical.

Visa petition is now available for processing....visa will only be approved once interview and medical exam is done and passed....
