  1. I haven't posted in here yet but have been watching this thread in here for timelines. Just wanted to let you know that my husband's green card was approved today!! Should be receiving it within 30 days. Now we can finally plan our trip back to meet his new nephew! :)

    Date of I-751.....NOA1 Date.....Biometrics.....Approved.....GC Received

    ...07/21/12.......07/242/12......08/09/12.......03/04/13.....??/??/13...

  2. In my expereience I sent several photos of my fiance and I togehter with either date marks on the camera or writig where it was taken and the rough date on the back. A few e-mails, any stamped envelopes (helpful if you and your fiance put your return address on the back), and a copy of our phone bills from different months over the years and highlighting each others numbers for texts and calls :)

    Good luck

  3. Hi there all!

Just a little confused about POE and temporary work permits. I have been doing some research about a temp 90 day work permit from Customs at my POE. Now a lot of people are saying that it's just JFK that do these? Is this true? I phoned Denver International and spoke to their customs officers and they said that as soon as they stamp my K-1/ I-94 then it permits me to work temporarily? Slightly confused and if anyone can shed some light on the situation based on their knowledge will be greatly appreciated :) I know that I will need to apply for AOS but I recall reading I was allowed to work whilst that was taking place.

  4. After months and months of waiting.... my visa was finally APPROVED on 9th April!!

I just wanted to say thanks to so many of you for posting and blogging about your experiences, it really has been tough with the distance and getting all the forms correct but you guys and your constant support really has been a blessing.

  5. Hey there! I didn't hear back about the NOA 2 for a long time but then the next few processes went really quick. Although I did have to phone up the National Visa Centre to find out what's happened.

Would reccomend at the moment getting the police certificate for immigration purposes done, getting all the Evidence of support i.e. bank statements, pay slips, letter from company and if you have a co sponsor from them to, make sure they are originals. Then when the Packet 3 eventually comes in you will have pretty much the majority of stuff you need to send it straight back. minus the forms you need to fill in.

  6. Hi there just collecting all our info for the Package 3. Just to clarify can someone please give me an example of what we need for the evidence of support? I have about $2600 in my US account and my Fiance has about $1000 in hers will this be enough? She also has a pernament job in the US and can provide pay slips/stubs.

The letter from her employer what should it say exactly? or does anyone have an idea of the jist of the letter?

How many copies do I need of everything for the Package 3? I am getting mixed messages from different people

Many thanks in advance for your replies

  7. So I have just phoned the NVC and they tell me that they sent everything over to the London Consulate on the 17th Novemeber, any idea how long I have to wait to get confrimation of this? Or if I should call the embassy themselves? I keep getting the automated number as no one will put me through to speak to someone. any suggestions?

Now it is all about calling the DOS.

    The number is 202 . 663 . 1225. Press 1 then 0.

Make sure you have your new number that begins with LND and they will ask you for the beneficiaries name.

    Good luck. :)

Many thanks for that! I will call them later. However I don't have the new number that starts LND? where would i obtain that?

  9. Hi there thanks for the replies I managed to call the NVC and they told me that it was all sent to the London Consulate on 17th Novemeber, just neither my fiance or myself have recieved anything advising us this.

Should I call the embassy and check that they have got it now and try to get the packet sent? Or should I wait? I only ask as it's getting closer and closer to our wedding date and i'm nervous

Good to see that I'm not the only one in that boat. that makes sense that people may have just phoned them up as we have. I will phone the embassy and get onto them next :)

Hi there! Well this is my first time and I'm excited!

Well my fiancé and I are getting married in Feb! I'm from the UK and she's from US and I can't wait to start our new life together. However we are slightly worried about the whole VISA process. We received our NOA2 on 11th Novemeber saying that the forms are now being sent to the London Consulate, however I have not heard anything from the London embassy and now it’s just short of ebing a month since our last update. Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do to speed up the process as everyone seems to have received their NVC Receive and consulate receive shortly after the initial approval.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 

First, I would call the NVC and ask them if they still have it. You'll need your and her name and birthdays and your case number. Then ask for the new Case number (for the consulate), if they passed it along, you can email or call the consulate and ask for an update.

After my NOA2, I never received anything from NVC. If I would not have called, we would not have known anything until our consulate sent my SO the Packet 3.

In other words, I am not sure how many of the others 'received' dates are really that they got information in mail or email, and how many (like mine) are based on us calling.
