  1. Shengen Visa requires financial data, similar to the one done for K-1 visa, and paid airfare, reserved hotels, and travel insurance. We had to flew to SF Consular office for France for appointment (from Hawaii). All documents were in order, they did the biometrics (picture, finger prints) then after interviewer told us to take a seat. They called my wife in about 30 minutes, then handed back her Visa saying congratulation! It was approved!!! and completed!

  2. Hello all,

I am returning to China next month and was curious if anyone has been recently and what they are doing in terms of quarantine for flu? When I was there in June they were really locking anyone down, but I have heard some stories that they are more relaxed. Any input would be appreciated.

I just returned from Beijing on 10/05/2009. Day I arrived they have extra paper the airlines handed out on the trip in, but the form at China immigration was different and the Chinese immigration officer made all of us complete different form. There are video cameras and temperature scanners at the immigration line. If you are sick, don't travel because they may detain and quarantine you if you have temperature and coughing. I am returning this month and avoiding crowds and public places in US to stay healthy. Have a safe trip.
