Hi, Everyone I hope all is well.
I have a question for you. Will I need to do the I-693 for my wife and son. On their DS-3025 it shows that their vaccine history is incomplete and also they may be eligible for blanket waivers because.....etc
It has been less than a year since they had the exams. They turned in the brown envelope on their POE.
Did you all have this same experience? Did you just send a copy of the DS-3025 with the AOS paper? Or you needed to go to a CS?
Thanks in advance

congrates jj700 on the safe arrival.
I am also in the same boat, but a little less complicated than yours, but at least you managed to get it all sorted out ok. I arrived in Florida on October 5th and have been slowly making our apartment a home and finding places for all my stuff so things are all starting to come together at last
we get married on the 23rd and plan to post our AOS application off as soon as we get back from Vegas...I am just going through all that stuff now and have 2 weeks to sort it out, while he is at work so i think it should be ok.
have a great weekend everyone x
hi and thanks , i hope everythinggoes smooth for you

Hi, to all
They made it yesterday
. It was hectic, one flight was missed and threw all of the rest of the flights. Had to fight over the phone with 3 different airlines, I even had to talk to to managers to get this done.

Hi everyone, just started reading about AOS process, it is good to see December filers still sticking together. Good luck to all , I have about three weeks until my fiancee and son are here.

Hi everyone, it;s been awhile
I finally have some good news, my fiancee received permission to take her son out of the country! We had a wedding date set, but now it may be even sooner!

We finally received our NOA 2 on July 27!!! 7 months after the NOA1... Look at our sig for the details.
Hi,
Congratulations, I know you must feel great, I am so happy for you all. Now the rest of the process is much faster , good luck and God bless
-
Well... We found out the reason for the delay in processing our request... Apparently, the USCIS has had a "hold" on all petitions from people with Puerto Rico birth certificates (like ME
). It wasn't until recently (July 1) that a directive came down from USCIS headquarters and they began disseminating to officers all the petitions that had previously been on hold.
So I guess that my review process is actually just now getting started... At least I know what the problem was... And at least I know (hope) that the the process is moving again.
Will keep you guys posted.
Congratulations on hearing something, you have waited a long time, I hope you receive more information and a NOA 2 very soon.

Our wedding day is this Saturday July 10,2010.. It was a long journey for me and her.
Congratulations Panamajack , I hope you both the best! Where is that parrot? He has been MIA lately, lol

Hello everyone,
I've been MIA for a few weeks, but have good news...VISA APPROVED!!!
Carol will arrive in US on July 17.
The CO had many questions for each of us, but the waiting was the hard part. Carol received her visa in Cali on June 29, 12 days after the interview. I am so glad that this is over and I can relax for a couple of months. Many thanks for everyone's help and support.
Congrats to everyone that had their visa approved and received NOA2.
Congratulations, I had been wondering about you all, I am so happy for you all!

Hi Guys,
Just an update... We are finally together! Fiancee arrived last Sunday. Now preparing for our wedding in August. Thank you for all your support, VJ especially this forum helped us a lot. Wishing everyone positive outcome soon. Best wishes to all!
Hi and congratulations to you! We already have the visas and the money for the plane tickets and I still don't know when my fiancee and son will be here. So you are really blessed to have yours here already.
Good luck and God bless!

Good Morning Colombia Club! I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Is it required to get a letter from your bank stating the amount in my account etc? or do they not really ask for that?
So far I have 3 years of my W2 and 1040 taxes, a letter from my job stating everything they wanted to know, and the last three months worth of paystubs.
Thank you!
Hi,
I personally used my 2009 TAX Return , my W2, letter from my employer and 6 months of check stubs. I was not asked nor my fiancee was asked for anything more.

Hey guys... I have some news... FINALLY!
I contacted my senator, who then called the USCIS... They told her that they will be sending me a RFE on July 1 asking for a certified copy of my Puerto Rico birth certificate.
Now... Don't ask me why they had to wait until July 1 (more than 6 months after I sent my petition) to send an RFE asking for something so minor... Seems like they could have done that back in February... But at this point, I am going to look at ANY communication from the USCIS as a blessing.
So I already requested the certified copy of my birth certificate, and it will be overnighted to me. If/when the USCIS finally does send me the RFE, I will have the document ready to send back to them. At that point, I hope they do the right thing and stop dragging their feet (and our emotions).
Please pray for us that this thing will finally get done.
By the way... How long does it usually take for a RFE to be processed? (I'm afraid to ask...)
Hi,
I am happy that you have recieved some news, I hope everything from this point goes a lot faster for you. Pray for me too. Good luck and God bless

Ahh.. a nice lazy Sunday..
 Wifey's here in 10 days.. Woohoo!
Congratulations! It must feel awesome. We are waiting on a court date of the 7th of July, the hearing for full custody of her son. We started in February with a lawyer. If it wasn't for this she would already be here. The hard part is that the judge has 2 months to make a decision, but he/she make it alot faster than that. I sure hope and pray that judge makes the decision fast and she can bring her son. They both already have their visas. I can not wait for the day my fiancee and her son arrives.
I know you have waited a while. For me it's has been more difficult lately because knowing that they already have their visas and they are still not here is tough. Pray for me please!
Mark y Carol,
How are you all ?
What happened on your interview?
I have not forgotten you all.

Our interview is on August 3rd.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to pick up the visa from Domesa in Bogota? Plane tickets are super cheap from Bogota to NYC right now at $255 for a one way with taxes included, so I'm wanting to buy the ticket ahead of time (yeah, I know I'm not supposed to, but the tickets should be going up in price soon I think, and to change the date of the ticket is $100). Anticipating approval, is 9th of August (6 days - plane leaves at night) enough time?
Hi,
If I were you give it 5 business days not including the weekend of course. I would think if you were to pick them up from the office they would be ready by no later than the 10th. Is your fiancee from Bogota? If so, you will not be able to pick them up from the office. For us it took 4 business days and there was festival on a Monday so noone worked.
It's risky to buy the tickets in advanced. But good luck to you I hope everything works out for you.
-
OK... It didn't work out. She apparently had a change of heart after she got her Visa. Does this make it harder for me the next time I apply for another K1 Visa.... and how long will I have to wait until I can apply again?
Thank you...
Hi,
I am so sorry you had to experience this like this, but I have a suggestion for you. Tell her that you could move there and share your life with her. Watch how she reacts. I feel like love is worth fighting for if it is real. If she's up for it then you know that she just doesn't want to leave her family behind. If she is still not sure, I would think that either she was just using you or never inside her heart she was absolutely sure. Give her time if you feel like she is still worth it.

Congratulations!
I am very happy for you. May God bless you and your future wife ( very future wife) lol

Thanks Christine... I really am happy that everyone is moving forward with their process... It is just difficult for me to see that and know that my sweetie and I still have such a long way to go.
The only saving grace is that thankfully, my job has me going to down to Brazil pretty frequently and we get to spend some time together when I am there (I am here right now
). This has been very difficult on us (short tempers and some arguments), but it is amazing how a few days together can help us "recharge our batteries" and remember why we are doing all of this.
I can't wait until my sweetie and I can spend ALL of our days together... I know it will happen.
Thanks for the good wishes... I will keep you posted.
Norman
Hi,
I am rooting for you. I hope everything works out. I remember at one point I thought I would receive a NOA 2 in two months and my fiancee would be here by March. It didn't happen like that for me. But God is in control . It was a blessing that we didn't get approved so fast because of money, being prepared, court process with her son. Everything was double the cost for me because it is for two people, so the flight will be be double the cost. I will be a miracle to have her here in July. We are thinking August or the worst case scenario September. You could literally still bring your fiancee here before me.

How did you pick your visas up when they told my fiancee that she must have them delivered to her after telling them she lives 10 minutes from their office and wanted to go and get it.? Tech is having a problem also..Their interview was on the 10th. and they did not have the visa as of yesterday. Read the post above this one...
Hi,
Congratulations again,
After the interview we explained to Domesa that she lives 8 hours away and of course I live in the U.S.A and we did not want to take a chance with the mailing system, It was also cheaper with the pick up option.
My fiancee lives in Manizales , so it was not a problem. It's an 8 hour drive or a 45 min flight.
-
Let me know if you get it today....This will be 5 buisness days because Monday the 14th. was a holiday in Colombia and nobody worked so that does not count as one of the 5 days...........
Hi, Congratulations Panamajack, The parrot was right, lol
Today the visas were ready to be picked up, my flight was at 7:55 so I could not do it , but my fiancee's flight was at 9:30 so she was able to pick them up. It took 3 business days to be ready to pick up from the Domesa office. So that's my good news my fiancee and her son received their visas today!
