I think she called after two or three hours. I don't know about karachi but for islamabad you have to pick it up from the courier office.

Jee. Meri Wife ka aik hi din main invteview hua aur visa bhi mil gayi. Yeh Islamabad american express ki office say hua tha. if you are applying for the IR-1/CR-1 Visa, then I would recommend that you or your wife call the AMEX guys in islamabad and ask if you could pick it up the same day or the next day
