    Yesterday I received my NOA letter for my AOS Initial Interview. :dance: It was dated for January 05, 2010. I guess I better start gathering all documents needed for the interview before I get pre-occupied with other things....like Christmas and New Years celebration/vacation with my honey. :star:

    I also wanted to mention that I haven`t had a touch on my applications since 10/26/2009. If you don`t see your case online or if you haven`t gotten any updates for a while, I woudn`t worry too much about it. For instance, My I-485 is still on ACCEPTANCE and I already received a letter for my Initial Interview.

    hmmmmm.... now I wonder if I wish it just stayed at the Chicago office- at least then maybe I would get an interview notice! We haven't heard anything since a touch on 11/9 and still can't even acess the EAD or AP online. Note timeline below- we are ahead of some of those who already got EAD/AP and we can't even access ours!

    My case got transfered to MSC. I understand your frustration and I hope you will get your EAD/AP soon. I did some researching about touches on I-485 and I was happy to find out that other people went through the same thing and got their EAD/AP/GC without any updates after there biometrics or any updates after their first touch. Others got all their approvals just fine without any access online. I know its frustrating not knowing what the heck is going on with the applications while others have all the updates online.

    I was so anxious lastweek that I called the 1-800 number twice on Wednesday and Friday eventhough I did some researching prior to making this call. They didn`t tell me anything new.The person didn`t even know that USCIS mailed my Interview letter on Thursday!!! They just told me that they received my applications and mailed me my NOA`s blah blah blah....Anyways, I asked the person why my status online remained the same after my bio was completed because it should have been updated after they scanned the barcode on my form. The person went on telling me that it happens sometimes. The person also told me that it also depends on the person working on your case or the office to where it got transfered too. They might work on your case and it may not show up online.

    Well, After receiving a letter without any updates, I can finally relax a little bit knowing that its moving along without me knowing...I can finally stop stalking my case online....lol!! Google is my bestfriend and if you feel anxious just do some researching or call the 1-800 to see whats going on. Sorry for the long reply!!!!

    Hello VJ members...I am newbie... I`m as anxious as everybody else in here. Just waiting on my NOA`s. I have a question regarding my passport. I was wondering if anybody can help me with this.

    Do I need to renew my Canadian passport before I go for the Interview? We filed I-130/1-485/I-765 with my expired passport. Will this be a problem on my application. I do not plan on travelling anytime soon...well, until I get my green card of course. But I think I am going to renew my passport in the next month or so because I will be needing it to renew my FL drivers license.
