  1. hey,

we had to do those a couple of weeks ago, since ur dad has the income he has to me the sponser, he and you have to file the i864 both of u, he is the sponser he files his income, and even though you have no income u still file it as 0 income, that what i did. if u file ur taxs jointly u and ur dad then you file i864a if u dont, then there is no need to file it.

Hi I am hoping someone can help me. I am so confused and I have been getting very different answers to this same question. Can someone tell me the difference between the I-864 and the I-864A. I am living with my mother and father and I am sponsoring my husband but I have no income so my father will be joint-sponsor and I am living with him. So I thought I completed the I-864 and my father would complete the I-864A for contract between household member but when my husband sent these to the embassy the embassy sent back the I-864A stating no they dont need that form they need my father to do I-864 and so now I am confused because I am living with my father so when I did my I-864 I combined mine and my father's income and included all of us in one household me, my 3 kids, mom, dad and sponsoring husband so why doesnt the embassy want the I-864A and If my father does I-864 then he wont include me or my kids as household even though we are living with him. I have been reading much about this and I did see something that says if you are living with a household member that fills out the I-864A that I must also include proof that we have the same principal address and that we are related. I dont believe I sent anything like this I just wrote a letter explaining where i was living and things like that. Do you think this could be the reason they sent back the I-864A cuz they are not knowing that I am living with my father and if so what could I show as proof that we r living in same home and that we are related?? My birth certificate would show him as my father so maybe that would work but how would I show we live in same home. I dont know I am just so confused if anyone can help me please thank you
  2. for the income tax, and if shes unemployed, you put 0, u dont ad her husbands fedreal income tax, i had the same problem and today i called DOS they said to put 0. I aded the husband fedreal income tax, the embassy in jeruslem returnd it back to us and told us to redo it adding o, if shes unemployed

Sounds to me like it is exactly as you said, she would state unemployed, income zero, federal income tax income zero.

    Is this answer clear enough?

  3. Hello,

i am writing this in regards 4 ur question, (free Jerusalem), for the I864a question that you had, you said u live in Ramallah, if u do call this number 02-295-6640, ask to speak with akram, ask him about the I864a, he will help.

    FreeJ

I noticed that you posted practically the SAME question on another thread yesterday!!! see; http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;pid=3409945

You got 3 pages of responses and you responded that you understood

This was your post "Thank you Malrothie, Minya , Y' habibit and everyone else who helped. I will have her fill the paper in and when we will send it in, and i will attach a letter asking why they asked for it...

maybe our CO woke up one morning and decided he wanted it... who knows !!! blah ! neways thank you guys again

Although I understand looking for answers I do not understand posting numerous times and having people answer the SAME questions... If you still had issues, could you not address them in your original thread?? It just seems like a GIANT waste of time for people to keep responding... I dont know if you are looking for a specific answer that someone has not given you, however... To summerize what the other 3 pages of the last post said...

You need to have the wife of the joint sponsor fill out the 864A since that is what they are asking for... Regarding the reason, we can only speculate, I noticed that the "net" you stated was under the 125% poverty level for the 7-8 family members... However, they might have just read it wrong..

People already answered what to put in the blocks in response 2 and 6, so just follow those recommendations! Sorry to sound upset and going off, I just hate it when people start all kinds of threads for the same questions that they have already had answered.

    christeen...

It IS the same question, i posted on this thread again for OBVIOUS REASONS, as i stated in the beginning of this thread because my original question was only answered by one person, the rest of the thread was us talking about WHY they asked for an I-864A to begin with and got off topic of my original question. They were very helpful but i only got ONE answer for my original question.I am here to get help and get some more answers from experienced people who have gone through what i am going though and who have filed this form out. THAT is why i re posted here, and i know its a re post, hence why i said "I'm posting here again for obvious reasons"

But obviously you have proven yet again that you don't read the complete thread, you only read little parts of it then begin a little rant.

Just like last time when you accused me of contradicting myself and lying. When i told you to RE READ my whole thread, you told me that you then understood what i was talking about and said you were mistaken. I proved you wrong about accusing me of lying and of contradictions. Listen, i will give you some advice. If you take my advice, you can benefit from it, that is up to you.

1... before you read any of my posts, CHILL OUT and breathe deeply. read the whole post and the whole thread, from first post to the last post OR

2... IGNORE ME. its really simple, you have been with VJ longer than i have, im sure you know there is an ignore button

I do not need you to summarize the last 3 pages for me, nor do i need you to send me a link of where my other thread was. And btw, the gross annual income of the guy i am talking about is $125,059 which is good enough for a family of 8. obviously you must have missed that part as well.

I just dont understand you fishing for all kinds of information that others have already given you... I have read the posts and I have come to the colclusion that you are a chronic thread poster and fish for redundant information.

I hope that someone finally gives you the answer that you want to hear because you obviously do not take the information that other offer... Your question has been answered in the other thread as well as in the guides of how to fill out the 864A.. Good luck in getting the answers you want, maybe somebody will tell you what you want to hear so people can address others with new questions.

I guess i am not being clear enough OR you are not reading correctly. Or, you read but it does not process in your brain cells as it should. Look, This is what i said: It IS the same question, i posted on this thread again for OBVIOUS REASONS, as i stated in the beginning of this thread because my original question was only answered by one person, the rest of the thread was us talking about WHY they asked for an I-864A to begin with and got off topic of my original question. get it? you siad :"maybe somebody will tell you what you want to hear so people can address others with new questions."

no one is FORCED to answer my questions, if they have tips and advice for me, that's great, but is it not like i force them to answer when i post so take a hint and don't have a drama queen attack when i have a topic and questions to ask.

  4. Hello.

my name is Yasmeen, i live in a village near ramallah, and the embassy called my husband asked him for the I864a to,my case has been pending for more then 2 and a half years, my husband went for an enterview mor than 5 times. and there is no way u can talk to them on the phone cuz they dont except telephone inquers, onle email, i have a baby girl, and i have done everthing to get his papers going, but nothing seems to work, they keep telling me that there doing a security check, cuz his name is mohammed, i am so sick of them.

i am posting here again for obvious reasons, i am trying to get all the answers i can get.

So... The Jerusalem consulate decided to contact me but ignored all my other emails and fax. Instead in the email i received from them it said:

"Kindly send an i-846A to include spouses income for (name of the person who helped us with our affidavit of support) joint sponsorship."

For the record, I did not make an error, i know the form is an I-864A but they must have mistaken in their e-mail.

My question is, when i downloaded the I-864A and sent it to the person who is supposed to fill it out, we were both confused on how to fill it out. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864A.pdf here is a copy of it. The spouse of the guy who helped us is not working, she is a house wife and files her tax jointly with her husband, so under the income question on number 9, there is no option of what she is currently employed as. should she just write it on the top of question 9 or on a separate sheet of paper that she is a house wife?

also, on number 10 where it asks what her current individual annual income is, what should she put there? $0 since she is not working?

I have a copy of their 2009 federal income tax return, so for question 11 on the "most recent total income" is she supposed to use her husband number of total income?!?? or put zero?

Thank you guys... sorry for all the question but i am so confused and worried sick. I just want to get things right and cant use logic when i am feeling this way!!
