  1. Hi there, my fiancee's interview went well but there's still one thing that bothers us. When she went to pay for the visa delivery, they said she need not pay as paying will be done once they delivered the visa. Is that really how it works? I was reading others post but I can't find anything about paying after the delivery. Is there a new policy as lot of folks here said they paid for the delivery after passing the interview

    Thanks...

    Joe

  2. call 1-202-663-1225 and they will give you your case number then call the us embassy manila 1-888-877-9888 with your credit card and set up your interview date and download your forms

    thanks for your response,

can I call the embassy and set up interview date even if my Fiancee hasn't got any letter from them?

  3. 1. Call NVC - get a Human - get the NVC case number - also ask NVC WHEN THE PETITION has left NVC.

    2. After the petition has left NVC - call DOS - get a Human - DOS will know EVERYTHING once the petition has left NVC.

--date the Embassy has opened the casefile

    --any P3 stuff

    --appointment date

    --any P4 stuff

Thanks for the reply, any contact number at DOS?

  4. I received a letter from NVC last 2/06/2010 saying they've already forwarded the Petition to the appropriate visa-issuing post, i.e. US Visa Unit Office in Manila. Up to now, my fiancee hasn't received the packet 3 (is that the one she's supposed to received by mail?) yet...should we be in Panic mode right now? should I call NVC or just wait for a few more weeks?

    thanks for any response...

  5. My fiancee is waiting for her interview now at Montreal. Its in March, that is all we have left for now. I just moved A week ago though and want to know who I need to change my address with or if I even need to. I called USCIS and was told it did not matter since our case is not with them anymore. they told me to contact the Montreal Consulate to let the know. Well as everyone knows you can't call them or email them. Cuz they dont respond at all. My old address is on the paperwork she turned in on Packet 3. Should my fiancee just tell them the new address at the interview or bring updated paperwork? thanks.

  6. Welcome!

    1. Yes though you have to bring also a copy of NOA2/NVC letter/Interview Appointment Confirmation e-mail during medical exam (bring at least Php10500 for the medical fee payable at SLEC, plus passport and 2x2 photos) but that's just about it.

    2. I'm not sure if it's still the same but during my time (October 2009), the fee for visa processing was $131, payable only in Php at BDO branches plus Php200+ for the Air21 delivery of the pasport/visa packet.

    3. I don't think there's a dress code. Just make sure you are presentable. Maybe wear a pair of slacks and a decent blouse or something.

    Anyways, goodluck!!!

    Thanks a lot...mabuhay po kayo..

Hi there, thanks for the response...that will help me a lot on my checklist...a couple of questions if you don't mind..

    1. all the documents that my fiancee will be sending to me won't be submitted until the interview...is that right?

    2. What are the fees? Can my fiance pay it in the US or should I pay it here in the Philippines?

    3. Is there a dress code for the interview?

I really need all the help I can get....thanks again

Start with this page on the US Embassy website:http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html

Next read this web page. At the bottom of this page you can download and print the instructions in Tagalog or English: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

Thanks for the link. I'll memorize every word...lol

  8. Can anyone walk me through post NOA2 stage...including fees? My fiance had completed the paperworks on his side and he said he'll be sending it to me in a couple of days. I don't know what to do with the I-134 he's sending, he told me I need to give it during my interview....but I need to make sure...guess I'm scared or excited but more on scared...I'm almost complete on my paperworks...at least the one's I know of...help anyone?...please?...thanks...

  9. If your I-129 was mailed within two years of your meeting, but the NOA1 was delayed (through no fault of your own) until after 2 years after your meeting, and the NOA1 filed date is after 2 years after your last meeting, you have a major problem. When an adjudicator sits down to look through the file (which no one has yet) and sees the gap in the dates, you will be denied out of hand, for simple failure to have met in the past two years.

Make an InfoPass appointment NOW, and bring all the evidence you have that shows that the package was mailed, received, and the check cashed prior to 2 years after the meeting. That way they will hopefully change your NOA1 date, or at least add a note to your account correcting the filing date. You need to get on this. It could be a serious problem!

The USCIS case status said they received the I-129F last 17th of Nov 2009. The requirement says "met within 2 years immediately receding the filing of the petition"(timeframe should be Nov 17, 2007 to Nov 17, 2009), it doesn't say "met within 2 years when NOA1 was received". Though it wouldn't hurt making an InfoPass appointment and ask about the matter just for peace of mind, IMHO, it would be just a waste of time...

  10. Hi November filers,

My fiance just received the Receipt Notice, this is the noa1 right? Notice date is Feb 03,2010.

We submitted our papers in November 17, 2009. In our status online it says they received it on Nov 17, 2009.

We thought that this would be the noa1 date but its not.

My fiance and I met in person in feb 2, 2008 and did not meet again in between.

Our concern is Feb 2, 2008 (first meeting) to Feb 02, 2010 (Notice date is feb 3)

our meeting within 2 years expires. waaaaa

Does it mean that we will be denied?

Please please your response is highly appreciated.

    Thank you

I think you're safe, the requirement says "must have met in person within the two-year period immediately receding the filing of the petition" Your petition was filed on the 17th of Nov. and it still within the 2 year window.

as to multiple visits, Immigration people follow certain sets of rules, regulations and requirements...doing the minimum requirement is all they need...

  11. declaring that you have relatives in the US doesn't really decrease the chances of getting a visa, so it must have been something missing in the required docs or something during the interview that resulted inthe denials...

one question, why did you decide to get a travel agent this time? it's really not a good idea because it brings up a lot of questions about you

it is much easier for her as she won't be traveling back and forth to Manila as she's staying in the province.

Immediate relatives are red flags for a US tourist visa denial if you don't have enough properties to declare to the consulate...that's how it goes in the Philippines and Consulates do admit that...

  12. My Fiancee is waiting for her interview which hopefully will be in the next few months. Our son and I migrated here 6 years ago but she was left at the home country as her visa got expired and upon renewal was denied. After a year she then tried to apply again for a tourist visa and handed all her documents to a travel agent but was denied again. Our problem was, there is a question on the tourist visa application that says "Do you have any relatives in the US" which was checked yes by the agent and listed down her relatives in the US but they didn't include our son which was with me as the travel agent said it will be an automatic visa denial. Our worst fear is, it might come up in the interview. If ever the topic comes up what will be her best answer? We're afraid that telling the truth will not be enough. Does anyone has the same experience? We will greatly appreciate any comments and suggestions.

    Thanks a lot...
