Hi everyone,
Ive petitioned for a K-1 for my fiance, I have not been working in the past year, however I will have no economic problem supporting my fiance. I have chosen to go the stated asset route on the I-134, to be specific, I will use 12 month savings accounts (CDs).
So my question is, what is the proper way to document these accounts? Past income taxes/1099s dont show balances, they only reflect the acct numbers and earned interest. I plan to copy the actual acct certificates which reflect all of the crucial info on the accts, however the dates on these certificates will not be recent, as they reflect the date the acct was opened. Will this be ok?
Sorry for the long wind, I just want to be sure to do things right the first time.
Thanks...

after getting married, she can apply for AOS right away so she can submit an AP application as well (AP is US re-entry doc she'll need while waiting for a GC), that will be good to use for a year, meaning she can go back and forth with that. when she gets her GC (around 4-6 months after) she can definitely travel to and from the phils with no problems.
and the only downside would be that every month she stays out of the US will be counted against her required residency (3 yrs) before she can apply for citizenship.
Ok, thats great, of course our main concern is to be together permanently and travel together as a family. Its not an issue to us if it takes longer before she can apply for citizenship, we just want to do everything correctly and avoid any problems.
Thank you all for you replies!......

Happy Holidays Everyone!
I recently petitioned for a K-1, my fiance is from the Philippines, and although I am American with a U.S. residence, I spend most of the time residing in the Philippines and we plan to continue doing so after marriage.
So my question is: After entering the U.S. on a K-1 and marrying etc, how long must my new wife stay in the U.S. before she can return to the Philippines with me?
Thanks...

Hello everyone, this is a great site! Im an American guy starting the K-1 process for my fiance from the Philippines...
Never received "Packet 3" ?
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Hello Everyone,
I'm A U.S. citizen planning to marry my fiance from the Philippines, so I petitioned for a K-1 Visa a little over 1 year ago, everything appeared to be going on schedule in the process, we even obtained my fiances passport, letters etc, but after receiving the NOA 2 my fiance never received the "packet 3" or anything else?
I blame myself for not aggressively following up on this, but at the time I was/am living with my fiance in the Philippines, so we were/are together.
My question is: Where do we go from here? Have I waited too long to follow up? Will we need to start over?
Thank you,
