  1. Very interesting topic and replies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe it or Not.....Some of the strangest things will and can occur it is a sign of the times..... I not agreeing I'm just reading(not my words)....I still believe we need to pray for all those that are in the mist of this disaster. My Husband, Mommi,Grandma, and other relatives live in Jamaica and for me that is very very close to Home..Let's just pray for their deliverance and help thru this thing. But alot that has been said can possibly be true!

  2. Hi,

I got married to a US citizen early 2008 after receiving a K1visa.

We have a baby born -preemie- 5months ago.

My husband has left the household 2 months ago stating he was going to a hotel.

He told me over the phone that he was filing for divorce citing inrreconciliable differences. I am alone in our flat in the US with my little baby boy & feeling acutely distraught. I have no family in the US. I do not work as my husband was providing for us. I cannot drive & feel extremely alone & isolated & helpless just caring for baby.

What can I do to go back home with baby? I am getting worn out here alone with baby. He wrote me an email to drive us to the airport the day after he left. I know he wants joint legal custody and not pay spousal support for me when I go back. He has been so inhuman I do not have any breastmilk for my baby and the harsh weather conditions where we live are starting to affect baby and me.

Can you please help? Who can help us? I just want to go home with my baby.

    Thanks

I am so sorry for the pain that you have encountered at the hands of this VERY HUMANE person..Listen to what the other members have told you and maybe contact the immigration because he is liable for your care/baby(he is a diot)..Be strong and keep your head up my friend I am so sorry very sorry!!

  3. Poor People Suck

It's about time someone called "bullshit" to the notion that poor people are somehow noble. They aren't.

    ...

Poor people in America are almost always lazy, stupid, of low moral character, and are in the position they're in because of deliberately making the wrong lifestyle choices (while telling the rest of us not to be "judgmental"). Poor people eschew things such as education, hard work, achievement, and the nuclear family. Poor people hang around other losers, thus condemning their numerous ####### offspring to a life of poverty and misery. And although in America, people can work their way out of poverty and make something out of themselves, they are unfortunately filled with the poisonous philosophy of failure and are given a victim mentality by those around them from the day they are born. They are told by their friends, neighbors, parents ("baby mamas") and others that it's society's fault they're poor, and that the "man" is there to keep them down. As a result, only a small percentage of the poor actually challenge their lot in life and try to change things. Most of them make the same bad choices their parents made and end up with 3 children (from three different sexual partners) by the time they're 20.

Last week, when I heard that Japanese real estate billionaire Genshiro Kawamoto was going to loan out several of his multi-million dollar homes to homeless families (with an emphasis on single mothers), my bullshit alarm went off. The first thing that came to mind was whether or not this alleged do-gooder knew that poor people have low moral values and low regard for other people's property and would likely trash the place. Surprisingly, the next day I saw a report in which Kawamoto specifically said that he didn't care if the families caused damage to his homes. At that point, I felt that a small victory had been achieved. At least there was one person in the world willing to admit to the news media that poor people have a penchant for damaging things due to their low moral values (although that wasn't exactly how he put it, that's what he was admitting). Still, I could not figure out why a billionaire would do such a thing. If he truly wanted to help poor people, he could open schools that taught young people living in poverty how to become successful. He could have provided free lunches or lottery tickets as an incentive to the poor to show up for classes on what behaviors make one successful (hard work, delayed gratification, impulse control, and a respect for education) and which ones condemn you to a life of poverty (drugs, bastards, gambling, baby-daddy hookups, sloth, etc.). From there, he could have easily weeded out the losers from the serious people and funded college scholarships for them (combined with lessons on how to dress, speak, and act in order to be successful). If I ever became a billionaire, that is exactly what I would do.

But since Kawamoto did none of this, I was extremely skeptical as to his motives in lending out his homes to be trashed. Surely a man as successful as he is KNOWS what causes poverty and how to help people get out of it. This week, I learned the REAL reason for his actions. According to neighbors and former tenants, Mr. Kawamoto isn't the kind-hearted George Bailey he's making himself out to be. In fact, according to his neighbors, it seems that his real motivation is to get poor families to move into wealthy neighborhoods, trash their houses, let the yards go to ######, increase crime, and ultimately LOWER THE PROPERTY VALUES IN THE AREA SO THAT HE CAN BUY UP HIS NEIGHBORS' HOUSES AT A BARGAIN PRICE (then sell them at a handsome profit after kicking the poor people out of his homes).

Yes, it appears that Mr. Kawamoto has a history of some not-so-benevolent actions towards others. In the past, he has given tenants at his Los Angeles properties a mere 30 days notice to get the #### out, because he wanted to sell the property. And although I have no problem with what Mr. Kawamoto does with his own property, it is extremely disingenuous for him to be portrayed as Mother ###### Theresa for doing something that on the service seems odd to begin with (and in reality is extremely devious).

I won't bother to go into detail about the single moms who will be moving into Mr. Kawamoto's houses. Their stories are about what you would expect (one with five kids, one with several from different men, etc.). All of this just goes to prove my point about the poor. It is their lifestyle (and their unfortunate mentality that America won't let them succeed) that keeps them poor and condemns their children. And that is perhaps the most morally reprehensible thing a poor person can do: breed.

Finally, when confronted with claims from (white) people living in the multi-million dollar neighborhoods that will be negatively impacted by his scheme, Mr. Kawamoto replied, "The people who don't want to live near Hawaiians should move."

Yeah, Mr. Kawamoto... You'd like that, wouldn't you?

You're ignorant and heartless, and who are you and why are you so concerned about what this man wants to do with his MONEY! He to me is giving back the to the poor AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE...BIBLE....The wealthy is to help the poor and continue to be humble ( Not Greedy or they shall perish). I in fact pray that you will never be in the same situation as some of the people not only in America but all over the World!

  4. Have a bake sale and sell "special magic brownies"!!!

If financial considerations were the only thing preventing you from starting a family and getting married, then the most of the world would be single!!! Ya cut back on other things, save and make due... or go into debt... either way... Love always finds a way!!!

Say it Again my friend! Words well spoken! Always finds a way!

  5. Hello everyone just had a few question, I didn't make enough for me to sponsor my SO myself so I enlisted the help of my husbands aunt and father who agreed to help us with the journey, When I submitted our financial papers I forgot to include my Bank statement and we forgot to submit my father in laws GC copy, My Bank statement is looking not so beautiful at all but I still have to send it (that is why I have 2 other sponsors) I was told the his aunts papers were fine they just needed the other documents which as soon as I receieve the checklist letter and his faxed copy of GC I will be sending away.Do you all think that the sponsors will be enough to help us seeing I do not have the funds available but am working a pt job ( and currently looking for better) will help (his Aunt alone was enough..but I wanted to increase the support)..also once they receive this final request..already submitted civil documents..how long do u think it will take? I hope you all understand this topic..

    Thanks in advance

  7. can anyone HELP! I recently started a new job within the week it is time for me to put together my AOS packet which I have 3yrs of tax returns, W2's, Co Sponsers, and I am sure my employer will give me the letter but the problem is we get paid Bi weeekly so therefore I will only have one stub to send in what do I do? should I wait to get 2 more together to have three or just send everything I have together now (mind you this will make my process longer)? also Does my Co Sponser need to submit letter of employment also?

I answered ya on the other thread.... Send in what you have as far as stubs (1) and if you can get an employment letter too stating how much you make, hire date etc... For the co sponsor should submit a letter of empolyment also or if you have 6 months of his pay stubs that should work too... No need to wait since you have a co-sponsor...

    Thank You!!!

  11. Good Day VJ family! My Question is I have filed for my SO under the I 130 application, I have listed my SO's sons and currently we are going thru the NVC stage at this time what steps and papers do I need to ensure that they can be apart of the journey as well within the 1 year time frame to travel? currently it is just the oldest who is 9yrs of age, and I do know that he will need his passport but what additional USCIS papers do I need to file for him? Remember he was already included on the application. Thanks for any input..Oh the consulate is with Jamaica

  12. Hello my fellow VJ's. First of all I would like to say thank you KUDOS  for all your help and support you have given me when I was still a 'babe' in this website (I still am) ahihi I really appreciate it very much. If it wasn’t for all of YOU (you know who you are) and this website it would be a hard time for me so thank you from the bottom of my hypothalamus! I've learned and discovered a lot of things here that I never thought I can accomplish :star::star::star: It's better to ask even sometimes you may sound stupid and silly but hey I'd rather be "Makulit" and be ignorant. I can say that, all the interview experiences are exactly the same from what I’ve read here once you're inside the Manila Embassy (though we have different cases and consuls) you won't be scared at all (well, not really!) you will know exactly what's going to happen, what to do, where to go and what to expect.

Last Friday, October 23rd was my interview and I was in the exact place from where you've been, maybe the one reading this right now is at the same spot from where I was seated. Isn't that amazing?! :o While I was there waiting for my name to be called or my number flash on the screen. I can imagine ALL your interview stories even the "Masungit" pre-screeners, I was thinking… hey maybe that's the one they're talking about haha.. :hehe: even the consuls.. But thanked God I have none of those wheeEeew! I wanted to tell you what happened the moment I stepped inside the Manila embassy but you already told everyone here. The procedures are pretty much the same. I had my interview with this young American handsome guy and it was very pleasant more like of a casual conversation and just like everyone else I was so nervous, anxious to get inside that sliding door. Once the door opened I felt my (L) dropped on the floor haha and I just wanted to disappear and be in another time, place or planet… anywhere but here :crying: I said to myself.. I felt all my insides were turned upside down. I don’t know if I was sweating or it’s just the cold air-conditioned room that makes it even colder bbbbrrrrrr! My number flashed at the end of the final interview room (I forgot the room number sorry) and to my surprise there are actually 2 consuls inside that room.. I was interviewed on the right side which is not really a good idea for the embassy to do because you can hear everything from the other side that makes it even harder to concentrate on your own interview. But hey the consul I had was handsome enough to get my attention :P haha there’s nothing he will ask that you cannot answer cause its all about YOU and your PETITIONER .. basic questions like…

    Randomly…

    Your name, age, birthday…

When, where, how did you meet..

    Who’s your petitioner..

What does he do for a living..

    Petitioner’s age, birthday..

    Ask about the pictures..

    When, where you got married..

How many times your petitioner visited you in Phils..

Just looking at the cards but not e-mails nor chat print outs..

I also brought with me tons of evidences though the consul didn’t really check most of the documents I gave the pre-screener (just in case they need some more proof of our relationship.. its better to be ready than regret it and be sorry just like what most VJ’s will advise you..

To make the story long, este short hehe .. I have anticipated those magic words “Your petition has been approved” the reason why I was expecting it is that I was prepared and gave them all the exact documents they required from “us”.. you really have to give those 'EXACT' documents that they’re looking for..

    like…

    NBI

    NSO MC, BC

    CENOMAR

    I-134 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

    PETITIONER’S EMPLOYMENT LETTER

    W2’S, 1040, paystubs..

    Cards, letters, e-mail, chats..

After that.. the consul will ask you to go to the releasing area.. sit down for a while.. relax.. chill.. and wait for your name to be called and not your number cause this time you won’t be needing it anymore but keep it for souvenir..

    Mine was 7001…

once you heard your name, stand up or I might as well run for it hehe.. and take your “PINK SLIP” and pay AIR21 (P205)for your visa to be delivered..

So right now.. I’m just waiting for my visa to arrive so that I can be with my husband in no time :luv: .. mahal, thank you for all your support.. I love you more..

walking out of the embassy makes me wonder with a lot of things.. how many people have been there.. their own personal stories/experiences and it fascinates me.. I try to seize the moment, I want to capture every detail of it.. I was walking real slow looking around the embassy.. observing..

I took my final step out of that exit steal door that is kinda rusty and that doesn’t rotate anymore when you push it haha… (you have to make some extra effort/strength in doing so or else you’ll be stuck there forever) haha then I thank the lady guard and said goodbye…

Finally I was out of the embassy but lost for a while cause I don’t know how to get home.. going there caused me P300 for a cab I wanted to save money for the transportation and P300 is a lot for me :P hehe.. so I just keep walking asking the vendors how to get to EDSA.. so I took a jeepney going to Cubao but then it was really a “Hot Sunny Friday Morning” that’s why I transferred to an FX..

once I paid the driver I fell asleep :hehe: hahha.. then I woke up cause there’s no more passenger but me at that time.. I started to feel so tired maybe from all the 3 months preparations, stressed that it caused me.. but HEY, HEY, HEY it’s worth it I’m telling you!!

    Til we meet again…

    And oh.. I almost forgot..

I want to thank my CREATOR, my GOD…

    (F) Lord Father God. I thank you for all the hardships I’ve been through.. it made me appreciate what I have right now because YOU taught me so well. Thank YOU for not leaving me in times of desperation. May this experience keep my feet on the same ground as I was before… Sorry, if sometimes (or most of the times) I doubted YOU :( for questioning YOU :( for not simply trusting YOU :( I’m not proud of it… I praise YOU cause YOU alone deserves the highest praise… THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH!!! I DECLARE GOOD THINGS TO COME, PROTECTION & PROSPERITY FOR YOUR KINGDOM’S SAKE & PURPOSE.. FOR EACH AND EVERYONE OF US HERE… LET YOUR MERCY AND LOVE (L) ENDURETH FOREVER AND EVER AMEN… I LOVE YOU!!!

    Your daughter,

    Stellar8

Congratulations and I am wishing you all the same in life with your husband!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the Mighty Name of Jesus..We serve a awesome God!

  13. This whole journey is a lesson in patience - as stated, you were lied to with the 45 day timeline - and also be aware that the 5 month processing time is for the first step - not the entire process, and also it's an estimate - may be faster, maybe longer - It's frustrating, and difficult - but you have to prepare yourself for a wait -

Check the timelines here - you have however long it takes at the service center, then time at the NVC, then waiting for an interview....

Thanks Everyone for the encouragement... Just Breathe!!!!!!!! Everything in Divine order!! With Love on your journey's as well

  14. Why is it taking so long? I filed my papers Sept 9, 2009 and I was told that it would take 45 days (maybe it was in my head) why and how and who is running the show has everyone at the CSC started taking holiday vacations already? Well maybe they need to hire holiday help like everyone else! Man hire me to process the papers I need a job! Any answers I am sure you all may think it's a stupid ? but Neither one of us has a criminal record so what else could they be looking for!! UGGHHHHHHHH! and the estimated timeline dates are changing!
