Aside from the 4 of us who have been approved, EVERYONE is in the same position as you. It's perfectly normal not to hear anything for months and months. Basically there's a backlog of applications at both offices (though Vermont's backlog is far worse).
Believe me, if anyone had received an RFE (a letter requesting further information), they'd have posted all the details on here. And RFE's are certainly not sent out to every applicant.
Some people will get an RFE, some people will get an interview, but most will just get their approval. There's no rhyme, or reason, to the time it takes - and sadly it's certainly not first come, first served. Hopefully you'll have some good news soon.

We didn't put what the submission was on the envelope. I think the PO box is specific to I-751 anyway. I think other CSC case types have different box numbers.
Also why draw attention to it as the package is an identity thief's dream if they knew what I-751 is...

My NOA arrived today... receipt date: 11/08/2011
That's great - you'll have a better idea of when everything will arrive. Congrats on getting the biometrics notice too.
Hey Magicfn1, ROC is a little different to AOS, from what i've read we have to wait for the Biometrics appointment notice - which will have the correct tracking number on it...

'Your item was delivered at 10:59 am on November 08, 2011 in LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92607 to INS EXPRESS MAIL . The item was signed for by M GUERRERO.'
    And now the waiting begins...

Just dropped my package at the post office... They terrify me! lol My own paranoia as they lost a package once when I was moving states... Wish CA service center had a street address so I could have fed exed/UPSed it...
I realized as I was leaving the PO that the clerk had typed in the wrong zip code for my package - she had it going to Santa Ana... While hopefully it would have still got there, I went back and another clerk hopefully fixed it... and gave me a new receipt... Will be so relieved when it gets there!

    Hi Kirsten,
I am sorry you are having to go through this, that sucks.
I work in HR and have had some experience with the I9 e-verification system in my previous job so can maybe help a little.
Most no matches I came across were:
    - Social security card hadn't been changed to reflect married name on green card
    - Social security card hadn't been changed after permanent residency was gained
Both the above are easily fixed with a quick visit to social security - takes about 24 hours to update in the system.
Occasionally someone would get a tentative DHS no match - which was also really easy to fix - quick phone call to the number on the letter they'll give you. Also usually confirms in 24 hours.
When you go to the HR meeting ask the rep for a print off of your e-verify case entry, also if you can see the I9 you completed. It will take them like 2 minutes and that way you can check they didn't make a typo or read your writing wrong. As one digit entered wrong e.g your alien number, could cause a non confirmation.
Congrats on your job & i'm sure this will easily get resolved.
