  1. Hi,

I was wondering how many fiancee's from the Philippines used an immigration service or did you "go it alone"?

If you used a service, do you think it was worth the money? If you had it do all over again, would you use a

service or not use a service?

If you did not use a service and had to do it all over again, would you use one?

When I received my NOA, I just used the USCIS site for all the information and forms that I have to use. In this way, you will know personally the process of your petition.

  2. Hi Ewok,

I think you can help me with this one. I got my visa through K1 and have now my conditional status. I have a daughter left in the PI. She's 16. She was not included in my I129 petition but I put her name with my adjustment of status. I would like to know what form will I use to petition her? Can my husband petition her instead of me to make it faster? If I will petition her, when was the best possible time? I will really appreciate your answer with this. Thanks

  3. I have correctly filed all papers for my wife within the 90 day window. Tomorrow she has her biometric appointment. Her I-94 expires on Oct 26th. After that happens what is her status? Should someone question her right to be in the US what document should I show?

You have to wait for a notice from the Immigration for your initial interview. There will be some documents to bring and if you passed, then you can have her conditional status approval.

  4. Hi to Everyone,

I just want to hear what advice you can give to my situation. I was petitioned by my fiance (citizen) here in US and we're married now. I have a 16 year old daughter which I left in the PI because she was enrolled already in college, and aside from the fact that I still want to adjust myself here and with my relationship with my husband now. I told him not to write down her name in the petition but I did with my application before. I'm in a conditional status right now. If I'm going to lift my conditional status in 2011 and have my green card (LPR) on 2012, she will be 19 years old. I can petition her but how many months or years she will wait?

I also want to ask if my husband can petition her as stepdaughter even though she was not mentioned in my petition before? If she will be petitoned, would it be faster than petitioning a relative?

Should my husband petition her now or can we wait after she graduated? Because I promised my daughter to get her after 3 years. I will really appreciate any advice from you. Thanks
