  1. hi vjers,

My interview date has been fixed at the NVC but I want to know if I would need packet3 and if yes, how to I go about getting the forms or do I need to wait for the consulate to send me the packet3 because I need to get all the forms and documents ready before the set interview date.

    Thanks

  2. Hi All,

Its been a while i posted a topic on this forum but I'll like you to help and I need information on what to do and how to go about it. My interview date had been fixed and i need to prepare well for the interview so as not to be turned down by the CO or delayed.

However, I'm 5months pregnant for my hubby and i want to be sure of what to expect at the interview. What documents do i need to present at the embassy to back up my claim such as antenatal, preg.test results and so on but i dont know much about this. Besides, do i need to go to a recognized hospital for those documents or i can go to any private hospital.

I'll really appreciate any good information. Thanks.

  3. Nigerian customary marriages are not legal and you will probably fail at the I 130 unless you registered at the court, The only 2 legal marriages in Nigeria are church and court. I would be surprised if they give you a visa based on a traditional marriage. You may need to get a court marriage.

    .

I'd filed for k-1 visa petition 2009, on my interview day, the CO said we couldn't benefit from it cos we'd been married under the traditional and custormary law of marriage right that had been recognised and this was our ignorance at that time and we were denied k-1 visa at that time. Thataks why we filing for k-3 visa petition now but we've registered our customary marriage at the court via affidavit of support to it. For this reason, I now ask about my e_passport that had been tendered at the consulate 2009, do I still need to change the e-passport to his(my hubby) name now or still keep it and would it not stand against me at the consulate on my interview date. Ease I need urgent reply. Thanks,

  4. Hi all, I'm a nigerian. As the subject above my husband is a USC. We've being traditionally married(engaged) march, 2009 and I obtained a fresh e-passport august, 2009 in my maiden name because we file for i-129f, 2009 and we were naive about the legality of customary marriage, hence we couldn't benefit from i-129f petition we filed in 2009 as told at the US-embassy on my interview day. We've headed for i-130 petition now but I'm confused if I should still hold on to my e-passport(maiden name) or very importantly to change it to my husband's name.please I need help and concrete reply on what to do exactlybecause I'm confused. Thanks

  5. Thank you so much as i am a bit relieved.

I would like you to assist me please. My hubby filed for K1 visa but we've been engaged traditionally 2009. We had our introduction 2007 and we had our court wedding den too. however, we agreed to get married in US too as it was our parents wish, but in 2008 i got my e-passport as being married and when my hubby alerted me he filed for k1 visa, i had to go to d passport office and change back to my maiden name, he had to send a "to whom" to proved that it was his whole idea for me to change it not as a divorcee and a got a new one. I really want to no if the consulate would detect it and would it affect the all interview process and i hope it wont be counted as fraud attempt too.

    Please help.

  8. Hi, ain't crazy anymore as my package's been sent on the 16th October, 2009. I still need more answers to my curiosity. As i said, my package was sent via e-mail on the 16th of October and my interview date was also scheduled for December 4. The instruction package includes the medical examination, DS156, i134, police cert. requirement.e.t.c.

My questions goes thus. Do i need to fill the forms sent and return them before the interview date or i take them along on my interview date? However, I want to know if my appointment has been fixed or need to wait for another letter after the instruction package has been printed out, filled and sent back.?

    Thanks

  9. Hi every one, aint crazy anymore but i still need more answers to my questions. My packet 3 instruction package was sent to me on the 16th of October, 2009, via e-mail and the interview date has been fixed for December 4, 2009. They added that i should get all the necessary documents and evidences and appear with them on the interview date.

My question go thus, Do i need to send those documents and the evidences to them before the interview date and wait for my packet 4 package or has both the packet 3 and packet 4 been sent already and all i have to do is get all the documents and evidence ready against the interview date scheduled. I'm confused.
