With only three interviews left and looooooots of people who haven't updated, I think the one after keydymenro's interview may be the last, especially if our APs get cleared.
It's been really nice having L here, and we've gotten in a sort of routine. I'm picking up enough Portuguese that L keeps laughing when he's on video chat with his family and I'll pipe up about what they're talking about (in English - it's a vast improvement from when I met them last year and barely understood). I can't wait for our wedding in a few weeks.

kristik, have they given you a new interview date yet? You should follow up with them via email (if possible), to try to get them to email you the medical/interview dates. I don't know if your consulate will, but Brazil was always willing to talk with me (the USC petitioner) as well as L when it came to anything relating to our case. Just make sure your email has your name / DOB, his name / DOB, and your NVC case number. I worry that if the first one got lost in the mail, the second one may as well

keydymenro, NVC finally got your package? THAT IS SO AWESOME! They're so terrible for taking them FOUR MONTHS to send it to NVC! I'm glad NVC got through it quickly and it's in Honduras FINALLY!

IM MAD SAD CUZ LIKE I SAID THE USCIS FORGOT TO SENT OUR CASE TO THE NVC THAT WAS JANUARY 26 AND THEN THE CONGRESSMAN ACT, THEY APPROVED AGAIN OUR CASE MARCH 9 AND NOW NVC DOESN'T HAVE OUR CASE AGAIN.... the same here people......we got our firts approved January 26 and then we were approved again march 9 and they still dont have our case, im so furious with this situation and they say the same to me u have to wait 90 days thats stupid................................

hello jasar, let me tell u that we were in the position actually we still there after 6 week of delay ,y bf call his congressman cuz uscis said ur file was approved and sent to nvc but nvc never got it.... so the congressman start doing his job and u wont believe this uscis approved but for some reason they never sent it to nvc, so no we have a second noa2 so we were approved twice, the was the last week and nvc doesnt have again we are can of furious and this is piss me off ggggrrrrrrr. we will wait untill Friday and if nvc say again that they dont have it my bf will contact his congressman again. and u should do the same.

well people thats true is no unbelievable....well yes we got our NOA2 like 4 days after the email that the USCIS sent us..... what we dont know if they will send us another NOA2 cuz now ours case said it was approved until yesterday, and i wonder if we dont get the new NOA2 and it supposed that we just have 4 month to get the visa after USCIS aproved the pettition....cuz like i said we lost 6 week or will they auctomaticly give us and extension?....

well everybody u wont believe this...... my bf when to his congress man last week he called to USCIS and they sent him an email that we were approval the January 26, my bf have the NOA2 that we were approval and they say to the congressman the same and that they sent it to the NVC it have been 6 week since that soupose happen......NVC have been telling us that they dont have the file thats mean that they said the same to the congress ma,n our surprise today is that for some reason i when to the USCIS web page and they said that we were approved TODAYYYYYYYYY...... can u believe this...... i bet they lost our file and then when the congressman start asking where the file is, they figure out that they lost it and do all the process again.......ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrr...... we lost 6 week im so piss off with this

i ask all this cuz, like i said we were approved January 26 it have been more than a moth and we dont have an answer of NVC, the USCiS didn't say anything (if they have it or they send it to NVC) until yesterday that my finance contact the congresist man and they say that they already sent it to NVC but i would like to know when, cuz now NVC say that they dont have it. ....................gggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

"it goes to the State Dept." HOW? Ask them if they use a carrier (like UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) or US Mail. I thought I remembered reading that they use carriers which are TRACEABLE.
"which has other priorities to clear". When I called NVC, I was told that they do not have to do anything with 129F petitions except assign the new case number and send it on it's merry way to the embassy. 90 days...that's a put off.
"there is no way to verify it has been sent". That's #######. Your file has a barcode on it which is supposed to allow them to accurately trace it. It should have been scanned the day it left VSC. Assume nothing!

NVC is the state departement they determine if your spouse is eligible for a visa, before sending it off to the repected embassy. The check to see if the spouse was in the US illegally ie over stay of a previous visa. no big deal then its given a number and sent to where ever. The USCIS once its approved i guess it gets thrown in a pile and when it gets sent it gets sent. NVC says typically 2 to 4 weeks. No One at USCIS know where the file is> they say once its approved it gets sent. well USCIS is in VERMONT and NVC in NEW HAMPSHIRE, its been a month even if the carrier is walking he could have made the trip 3 times by now. so where are the files? anyone else having this issue?

ohhhh god my bf is so calm down and so freking out here in Honduras, everybody knows what going on with theirs case, and our case is possible missing......

Sorry guys, I moved into our new house last weekend and proceeded to get really sick (bronchitis) and haven't been around much. And John's mom had a massive stroke Wednesday evening. Please keep her in your thoughts/prayers/whatever you do. It doesn't look too good.
keydymenro: As far as the NVC saying that they don't have your case, are you actually speaking to a person or trying through the automated system? If you are trying the automated system, they do not log K-1's into that. You have to actually speak with a person. And when you are speaking with a person at NVC, use the magic words "is my case in AP (administrative processing)?"
krili - I believe that you get to include tips and such as income, but I think that it had to have been reported to the IRS as income, therefore be included in the tips section of his W-2. Yes, he has until April 15th to file his 2009 income tax, but I'm sure that the consulate may ask for his 2009 W-2's, as it is required for all employers to have them mailed out by January 31st of each year (actually this year it was Feb 1st). I agree with asking this same question in the portal for Lithuania.

Well im in Honduras my bf is the one is calling to NVC and yes he talked with a personand even he or che said "ohh is weird it had been 3 week and we dont have it, u should call to the USCIS" my bf did it but he didnd get and answer. Do u think is possible that they lost the case ....... ohhhhh noooo please god nooo
