Today we received letter from usics that our Green Card might have been lost and we will have to fill up form I-90.

I am heartbroken. Not sure what happen. I called post office they said they don't have any mail on hold. it might be either missed delivered or send back.

Not sure what should i do now. I am spouse of USA citizen and came to usa 2months back on IR-1. I-90 form has fees of around $290. :S

You need to keep calling NVC and ask for follow. Its should not take so long as it is in NVC. Also when you call NVC next time provide yours & urs spouse email id so that you will start getting updates. Also send them email with copy of citizenship to update your case.

You can check Interview Appointment Schedule at local US consulate. Mine already had posted for Jan 2010 so i was assuming i will get Appointment in Feb & it was true. Feb 2010 schedule is not listed on local US consulate so i guess they might get many other for local consulate.

Hi All,

My Case completed at NVC, Now heading toward Mumbai consulate. Some relief & Thanks to you all on the forum.

Three Questions:

1) Any Guess how long further it takes for interview dates are schedule for Mumbai?.

2) Personal interview Requirement( What are all documents will be required at the time of Interview for eg:Proof of relationship etc)

3) I also have Lawyer name attached to my case. What will be his role from now? Anyone with same situation?

Interesting Note:

I did not hire Lawyer when i first submitted I-130 at USICS. One day USCIS website had some issue and it passed

my filing date. I got worried and i hired a Lawyer. Couple of day's the site was fix and my filing date was not current yet( I had spend $$$ for no reason . Then My case was approved and submitted to NVC.

My case did not had lawyer info at NVC at very first stage and i decided to go myself after reading the forum.

Everything went perfect & at last stage my Lawyer name got added by itself( I did not mind that at all).

This happened to me...dont worry AVR will change in a day or two.....It will take a day or two after the login is failed for the CASE to be COMPLETED. Check my signature for the dates and you will know.....

I have question. My uncle is U.S.A Citizen & he had filed for his married son in F3 category. My uncle now went back to india due to health issues & won't prefer to come back untill his son case is current or close to that.

My question is when there case is current do my uncle have to be is U.S.A or how long Petitioner is allowed to stay overseas for F3 category.

You have to apply for spouse ITIN. once you get it you can use it as spouse SSN. There instruction in ITIN letter what to do once your spouse comes to usa and apply for ssn.

I want to replace my spouse father name with my name. I called NVC they asked me to send copy of my wife passport and will change as same to passport( Passport just issued with my name).

Hence i also want to send them letter for better presentation and to avoid confusion.

I paid AOS bill online & then after few days it says paid. I then printed document cover sheet and in the bottom of bar code it says F2A. Shouldn't it be IR-1 as i am usa citizen petetioner for spouse.

ok so this may sound dumb but I am moving and my husbands interview is coming in December. Do I change my address with the NVC and USCIS. The only problem is USCIS website and phone reps do not even show they approved the case and sent it to the NVC. I just want to make sure he gets everything sent when he arrives.

Where is your case right now? If interview is in december then i guess it should be with NVC. Call the NVC operator and they might do it on phone itself. I was able to change my spouse address easily on the phone itself at NVC.

HI ALL,

I was preparing for I-864 for my wife. I need advise.

I will be sending last 3 years tax return copy to NVC. I had filled all my tax returns joint as my spouse never been to usa but qualified for ITIN(INDIVIDUAL TAXPAYER IDENTIFIACTION Number).

So should i need to clarify NVC to avoid any confusion in the mind of NVC officer who might have no details of ITIN.

ITIN letter itself says it is only for Federal Tax purposes only i.e to file tax return & once my spouse immigrates to usa she will have to notify SSN office and get ITIN as SSN.

Please advise what should i do to avoid any confusion delaying the process.

I mean she never came to usa and she is in india currently.

I have question for I-864 24-E. What should i mention for Question 24-E.

I am sponsoring my SPOUSE outside USA. I am the primary sponsorer & have my parents as my dependent.

I am not using anyone else income in my sponser.

What should i mention in 24-E

For 24-B --- I have enter NONE

E The person listed above, __________complete Form I-864A because he/she is the intending immigrant and has noaccompanying dependents.

Few questions:

Hi Friends,

This is just to inform to all those who want to update Beneficiary's address outside of U.S.A.

I just did it and its very simple.

Call NVC & talk to operator. They will update right on the PHONE itself.

I thought of sharing this experience to all those who don't know. Its alway safe to check the address as in mine case Beneficary had moved to different address from that i had used durning I-130 application.
