  1. I was hoping someone could tell me what exactly the letter from the employer has to look like and say.

I've read about it before a long time ago but can't locate the information now. Hubby has tried too & I'm frustrated trying to find it again.

We're on a time crunch because our co-sponsor is getting ready to leave on a vacation in a few days and will be out of touch for 27 days and we have to turn in our AOS packet before July 7th to avoid fees for a new medical.

Please if someone could help us locate where this information is exactly so we could read it for ourselves or if they could tell us what exactly the requirements are for the letter from employer that would be most helpful.

    Thank you!

    Date: <January 01, 2009>

  2. When did you know you were approved.Did you receive your GC yet? I am just worried.

I haven't received the GC yet. Before leaving his office my wife asked him if we were approved. His only answer was: "you did OK, you will get something in the mail shortly". That answer can freak even the toughest person, but.......... I won't worry until the time comes to do so. I know I am not giving you any peace of mind with my answer, but is almost the same what happened to me. So, that's why I tell you to relax. I wish us all luck.

  3. He then said "that's it we are done. Thank you and let me walk you guys to the exit door." What? Nothing like you are approve or to be expecting something in the mail in 30 days. He did not give us any paper after the interview. We left the building not knowing whether to be happy or not.

No updates or touches on my I-485. Haven't received any text or email yet. Is this normal? Do any of you guys think we will be schedule for another interview? The IO did not give me back my I-94- That's the only thing i am happy about.

Sounds like the same man that interviewed us. My interview was on May 25th, and still no touches or anything. What I read, is that this guy can't make any decision, just put together information and send it to Dallas, where they make the approval stuff and issue the GC. Just don't worry too much, it'ill come soon.

    Good luck.

  4. I did explain my situation, they understand, but it needs to come fast enough, I also understand that they need someone for this position soon.

It would be a lot easier if the USCIS would say, you will receive your EAD on this day. (not easy to predict though)

Hi Sabrina, looking at your dates, they are almost the same as mine, and I have received my EAD on Saturday. But I have to tell you that you still can not work until you have your SSN, which you will get with your EAD, and it takes like 10 more days. I found out this today in the SS administration office. So just relax, you will receive it on these days. Wish you the best of luck.

  5. Thanks for the info but could you please share some of the questions asked and the evidence you went with. Did IO take your I-94.... My interview is on 3rd June 8am at Oklahoma City. Thank you and all the best of luck.

Hello Icepeck. Well, the questions are the typical they ask, like: Where did we meet?, How was our wedding?, Who attended to it? The important thing is that you have to stay calmed, because this guy was a very observant person. And the strange thing is that most of the questions were for my USC wife. He asked her for the original marriage license, pictures of the wedding, and joint insurances (car and health) and accounts. He understood that an account can not be opened without a SSN. The best advice is just to answer what he asks, let the IO make the jokes, just laugh. If you have other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

  6. Hello everyone. This is the first time i am writing here, but I visit this site everyday and I have to say that I have received a lot of good advice from you during this process, including filling out forms.

Just to let you know, if you are going to have your interwiew in Oklahoma City, be prepared. To start with, the interview lasted 45 minutes. The IO was a nice guy, very intelligent, clever and deft at extracting information from us. He was a very observant person. He gained our confidence and made us feel confortable and, in turn, we readily shared information with him. And in the end he got the extra information he wanted. He told us we will receive "something" in the mail, and not to worry about it, but he didn't want to say "yes" or "no". It was not a bad experience, but not something we want to go through everyday.

I hope this information is helpful.

    Thank you all for everything.
